The restaurant itself is very nice; service was great. Drinks were very good; selection of menu choices minimal - ahi didn't appear to be seared.
The views from the restaurant are beautiful and our server was lovely. The coconut shrimp starter was yummy. However, our meals were a little disappointing. The New York steaks were quite fatty and a bit tough, and the salad didn't come as described on the menu. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves but when you pay those prices, you expect the food to be better.
It's nice to have Nanea's fine dining open again. The menu is pretty small but their options for food and beverages are a step above the pool bar. We had Lindsey 2 different nites and she was an awesome server. Another nite we had someone else and I think they were new and seemed scattered. It is definitely a beautiful setting for breakfast and dinner.

Mauka Makai is a must-visit restaurant in Maui for a memorable dining experience. Reservations are recommended. Service is very good and the staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The Thursday night Prime Rib special is delicious and everything was delicious. All the entrees ordered are delicious. The restaurant is located next to the pool at the Westin Nanea and has great views.
