We drove around trying to find a casual lunch spot, which is tough with all the resorts around. Reasons why you should go: #1 Free parking, you stop at the front desk for a pass. The front desk attendant was by far the nicest person we've met so far on our trip. #2 It's on the water. #3 Food & service: Our server was an angel, super polite and on top of things and she was an excellent communicator. Top tier service. Got the mahi tacos and others got the mahi Cobb. Lots of fish and fair prices, highly recommend

This restaurant was recommended to us from the concierge at the Westin. We arrived there, and we asked to be seated at the ocean front. The hostess put us in the corner. We waited for service, right after we got seated. A party of four got seated, and the waitress immediately walked to that table and started to get their drink orders. While we still were waiting for any service. After about 15 minutes for a waitress. Then we got up and walked out. While we were leaving the Castaway Cafe, the hostess and the waitress said to us goodbye. Never asked my wife and I if there was a problem. We are an interracial couple, and we believe they didn't want to serve us. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.Let alone spend one dollar there. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Had a cajun fish burger and wife had regular beef burger. Both came with fries. Wish it came with salad as well but we ordered salads separately(Ceasar and house salad). Both burgers were good with good lettuce,tomatoes and generally all vegatbles in burger were good. Burger had good ingredients all around. meat and fish itself was good. R salads were good. Just in general all ingredients in meal we good. Fries too.

Ricky was so nice, informative and very efficient. She knows how to be a professional but also to develop relationships. The food is wonderful and a great value. The views are amazing. The hostess was amazing, as well. We told the manager Liz and she was so appreciative of her amazing staff!

The food was average, nothing particularly memorable, but the outdoor seating made the experience worthwhile. The view of the island and the water was absolutely beautiful — definitely the highlight of the visit. Parking was a bit confusing at first, as most of the nearby spots were marked private. However, we went into the hotel lobby nearby and someone there gave us a tag to put in the car after we mentioned we were dining at Castaway Cafe. I’d definitely recommend doing that for easier parking. Overall, I’d return for the view, but not necessarily for the food.

Nestled in the well kept, Aston Maui Ka'anapali Villas, with beautiful views of the ocean and islands. Our server Concetta was charming, funny, conversational and attentive, loved her. My husband ordered the short rib Benedict, with potatoes. Mild creamy hollandaise sauce, with savory delicious short ribs, that tasted like they were slow cooked for hours, with great care I had a virgin bloody Mary, that was way better and more tasty, than regular tomato juice. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict, w/potatoes. My hollandaise sauce was perfect and creamy. A top soft English muffins, was twin delicious crab cakes. You could tell the crab was super fresh, as they did not smell or taste fishy, like frozen crab cakes that we have on the mainland. Each plate was adorned with a beautiful edible flower. I did eat the flower and it tasted good. All the staff was super friendly, many greeted us upon arrival, and thanked us for coming, wishing us a great day upon leaving. I highly recommend you put this on your vacation to do list. 5 out of 5 stars
