Great little restaurant right on the beach. We eat lunch or dinner here at least once every visit now. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas along the beach boardwalk. The service is always excellent and friendly. The setting is great with beautiful sunset views of Lanai and Molokai. Our favorite dish is the fish tacos but everything we’ve tried has been good.

Visited Maui during thanksgiving weekend and stumbled upon this quaint little cafe that was just amazing. Good was great, views were even better. The beach in front of it was very quiet and beautiful. Perfect for breakfast.

Excellent food and service! We ate here twice for breakfast and once for dinner, all good was really good! Go here instead of the nasty, over priced Monkey Pod. I Don’t know how this place isn’t packed all the time but worked out for us! Try the Short Rob Loco Moco for breakfast!!

We had a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunset, mai tai are super yummy. You can stop and get food and drinks to go.
We had breakfast at Castaway twice during our stay, and the two experiences couldn’t have been more different. Day 1: Outstanding Our server, Concetta , was a total standout, fun, energetic, and incredibly attentive. Drinks were always refilled before we even realized they were getting low, food was delivered exactly as ordered, and she kept a warm, upbeat vibe the whole time. The crab cakes Benedict? Absolutely delicious perfectly prepared and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had on the island. That first visit set the bar high. Day 2: Not the Same Story We ordered the same meals, but the execution took a dive. My crab Benedict arrived with undercooked, almost raw eggs, and the breakfast potatoes still missed the mark (definitely choose a different side). My husband enjoyed his short rib loco moco, which helped balance things out. Unfortunately, our server seemed totally disengaged zero warmth, zero urgency, and we ultimately had to flag down Consetta again just to get drink refills. She wasn’t even our server that day and still did more for us. To their credit, they removed the charge for the poorly cooked entrée clearly acknowledging the issue. Bottom Line Castaway has the ability to deliver stellar breakfast with great food and truly standout service especially if you’re lucky enough to sit in Consetta’s section. But consistency needs work. When the staff is on their game, it’s fantastic. When they’re not, it shows. Would we go back? Yes but we’d ask for Consetta’s and definitely skip the potatoes.

The location of the cafe is excellent, we love snorkelling at the Black Rock and then we go to this cafe for a lunch. We love this place, the service is good, the view is gorgeous, the choices are plentiful. I always feel good about visiting this cafe.
