Out of the way WONDERFUL restaurant in Maui. On a lark while out driving seeing the sights, we stopped at China Boat for lunch. What a jewel - authentic, flavorful, Chinese food served fresh and hot! The hot and sour soup was delicious as was the Shrimp Mixed Vegetables and the Chicken Fried Rice. Our appetizers Vegetable Egg Rolls were also delicious and served piping hot. The dishes were served family style with simple dishware - perfect for lunch at their outdoor covered patio...
Hidden gem with great taste and great value. We didn't have a problem finding parking since we showed up shortly before they opened. But the parking lot is pretty small and there's only about 5 tables inside, which is more like an enclosed patio. It's definitely a great change from all the pricey restaurants on the west side. They have a separate area for take out which we considered since our hotel was nearby.
We enjoyed a meal here after a day at the beach. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the hosts were lovely. We indulged in spring rolls, beef and broccoli, Kung pao chicken, house chow fun and the recommended candied shrimp walnut. Delicious! Sorry no pictures as we dove right in. Highly recommend!!
