While I wouldn't describe this place as a must visit while you're in Kaanpali I would happily recommend them as a great spot to grab a bite to eat. I got their lo mein with chicken, and it was pretty good, especially with the chilli they added on the side. I'd happily get food from them again!

We tried The China Bowl and were really disappointed. The place had no air conditioning, and the whole restaurant had a pretty bad smell. The counters and the area behind the counter were cluttered and messy, and overall the place just felt old, run down and dirty (we ate in our vehicle because of this)

We ordered the Beef Lo Mein and Kung Pao Chicken, and neither was good. The portions were small, the chicken and beef were rubbery, and for nearly $20 per dish, there was barely any meat. Both meals were very bland.

There are a good amount of tofu dishes on the menu. I ordered a tofu dishes not realising the tofu would not be fried (I hate soft tofu) and tge replaced it for me without charge Updated from previous review on 2025-09-26

The whole encounter felt like a hit and run and the rice was not well cooked.

Lahaina’s Hidden Gem!
Tired of eating poke or musubis? Check out China Bowl Asian Cuisine, a true hidden gem in Lahaina! The food is cooked to order, flavorful, and best of all, no MSG added.
I ordered the crispy pan-fried beef noodles, and they were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and loaded with tender beef. While the restaurant advertises more for takeout, I highly recommend dining in. There’s something special about enjoying your meal fresh, straight from the kitchen to your table.
If you’re craving Chinese food in Lahaina, China Bowl Asian Cuisine is my top recommendation!

The service was terrible . Rude and really not helpful . No wonder the place was completely empty .

Bland and disgusting food, there were ants crawling everywhere on the tables, and the spring rolls were warm on the outside but ice cold on the inside. Lady was rude as well, and definitely served us unfiltered sink water.

Family-friendly, quick, and accommodating of made-to-order requests. Would recommend!

5/10 for the taste
Everything else is a 1/10
Not much food
Really expensive for the little amount
And not really what you expect to get for the price either

The couple running this restaurant were wonderful! So friendly and welcoming. We dined in. The fried tofu appetizer was a little bland and could have done with a robust dipping sauce, but was nice and crispy! The orange tofu with steamed brown rice was delicious. I found the portion size great! Very tasty indeed. Parking right out front and restrooms inside.

Genuinely mediocre-to-bad chinese food - you're better off going to panda express since at least the fake Chinese will have flavor. The pricing is fine - I mean, it's Lahaina, everything is expensive - and the service is fast, but the food is not worth eating. I really wish they charged a few dollars more per dish and invested in quality ingredients and preparation.

Glad we found this place but portions were small and expensive. Orange tofu was the best dish.

Save time and money and go somewhere else!
