Food and service were amazing.. We were there on the grand opening in 2024 and this trip didn't disappoint either. great staff, food was quick and great portions. We also ate at the Express at the Whaler TWICE! so 3 times at Cool Cats this trip! The Don Ho is the way to have a burger on Maui!

We stopped here and had some burgers and fries. The burgers were really good as were the fries. They filled us up and tasted great. The only complaint I would have is way too much lettuce but that’s it. If in the area stop by for sure.

Stopped off on the way back from a full day on the Road to Hana to get takeout burgers and shakes. Burgers were excellent and the shakes smooth, tasty and creamy! My wife and I ate at the Cool Cat in Lahaina pre-fire and wanted to support the business. Loved the food!

This place is so cool! Love their rooftop eating space overlooking the main street. The burgers are the best in Maui and love their root beer floats! The atmosphere and food are worth every penny! Would visit there in the future!

We’ve been loyal fans of Cool Cat Cafe since their days in Lahaina — it was always our go-to spot for the best burgers in Hawaii. After the devastating Maui fires destroyed their original location, we were heartbroken. So when we heard they had reopened in Kihei, we made it a priority to visit — and it was absolutely worth the trip. The new Cool Cat Cafe in Kihei is even better. It’s bigger, with a fresh new vibe, but still holds onto the same charm and aloha spirit we loved in Lahaina. The burgers? Just as fresh, juicy, and delicious as ever. They’ve got a great range of options, including fresh-baked, in-house wholewheat rolls that are a healthier (and tastier) twist. The service is just as friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel the pride they have in rebuilding and coming back stronger. If you’re anywhere near Kihei — or even if you’re not — it’s absolutely worth the visit. Cool Cat is back, and better than ever!

My family and I were devastated when we found out that Cool Cat Cafe in Lahaina had burnt down in the fires, but this new establishment is just as good! The food was amazing, the service was amazing considering how busy it is and they had such a wide variety of options on the menu. Shoutout to one of the waitresses, Claire. She was very experienced and we appreciated the time she took to talk to us whilst also fulfilling her other duties. She was very kind and engaging and catered to our needs. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This location in Kihei is new after the one in Lahaina was destroyed by the wildfire in 2023. There are plenty of choices on the menu however the food is about average. Staff are ok but not customer oriented. One lady staff member was downright rude. I just ordered another beer with my dinner and she asked if I wanted anything else. I said no and she pulled out our check and said here you go and walked away. I didn’t even have time to drink my beer. That was very unprofessional and it left me wondering if we were not welcome. My usual tip is 25% but because of her I left no tip. Also changed my mind about buying one of their t-shirts which I purchase every time I visit one of their cafes. Also the parking lot is too small for the amount of businesses in this mall and parking is a problem.

We went here with large party of family and friends, since we came to Maui for a wedding. I should note that this is one of the few places in Kihei that can easily accommodate large parties, because it's a big restaurant inside, and has an outside area as well. I called ahead, and they were able to set us up with 2 tables for 16 people at 7 pm on a Saturday night. The fare at Cool Cat is mostly typical American food, with a specialty in burgers. I don't exaggerate when I say these are the best burgers on Maui. Prices range from $14-$19 and all are great! The burgers are HUGE and tasty, They have so much tomato and lettuce on them you won’t need a side salad, or any sides (fries are an extra-cost option). The only downside (and this is nitpicking) is that the burger buns can't handle all that food in them, and I ended up finishing off mine with a fork and knife. If Cool Cat is reading this, please consider larger buns! The service was good too. the only hiccup being our bill. One of the servers somehow put two of the other table's diners on our bill and it was confusing to poll 16 people to see who had what, LOL. This was a way better dining spot than I had anticipated, and a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!
The best burgers we have had in a long time. Also loved the Frings. Great service and live music on the patio. Lots of seating and parking.
