Vacation mode in full effect! Mai Tai, firecracker mahi-mahi and relaxing live music (oh and my feet in the sand)! It’s what we came for and more. Aloha 🌺

We brought our family of seven, including three kids, to Hula Grill for dinner during our vacation, and it was a great choice. The fish was delicious, and the casual vibe was just what we needed. The staff was patient with our children and had high chairs ready—always appreciated when you're traveling with little ones. A wonderful family-friendly spot in Lahaina. Highly recommend for anyone dining with kids!

Food was great and so was the atmosphere. We had a server that didn’t seem too concerned with helping us though which kept us from full enjoying our experience

Had the last dinner of our Hawaii vacation here. Service from our waiter, Lapoka (sorry for the misspelling in advance) was wonderful. Truly made the last moment of our vacation, thank you! He took extra attention to make it feel special.

Had live music and singing and a relaxing vibe. Food was good and quick.

Wow! Has this place changed! Now I know why it was empty for Happy Hour on a Friday. 2 drinks and 3 Appetizers for $75. $15 for shrimp and you get 3? $16 for Ahi and 5 small pieces? I asked if the Sav Blanc was dry and the server who's been there 9 years had no idea? It was sweet! (I'm from Napa) You should know your only wine on Happy Hr...My vodka drink which was on Happy hr with lemonade and cranberry was amazing but apparently it's a problem to ask without the cranberry? Seriously... this place is an entire disappointment besides the view! Been coming here for 30 years. Never again...

Everything was incredibly delicious, very unique flavours and we eat out a LOT. Our last night in Maui we wanted to try “farmer’s market” inspired dishes. These were all vegetarian and at $9 each they were shareable, what more can one ask! There are a bunch of sides that you can make a meal from. The okinawa spinach was soft and flavourful, the grilled broccolini with yuzu was the star of the evening - it was smoky charred and citrusy. We loved the ravioli which came with oyster mushrooms and a macadamia nut butter and roasted red pepper sauce.

The Mai Tai cocktails are on the sweeter side (as they have been at 4-5 other places in Maui)

The Hula Pie is ginormous, essentially a vanilla and macadamia nut ice cream fudge (serves 3-4)!

Worst meal on our entire trip. The $51 fish was cooked in rancid oil. The carrots (lame vegetable side) were so undercooked they could not be cut with a knife. The cocktails were so sweet that they were undrinkable. Severely overpriced for the quality. The hula pie has freezer burn and tasted stale. You might enjoy this place if you’re from a super small town but if you’re from southern California do not ruin your holiday by coming here. There are two sides to this restaurant. The reservation side, which has a more upscale and expensive menu and the fcfs side that has a more casual menu. This restaurant is garbage. I’d seriously rather wait an hour for monkeypod (only fcfs) than dine with a reservation here.

Try ceviche, probably the best appetizer I’ve ate on Hawaii. And of course poke bowl and tacos were delicious.
We checked all restaurants during the vacation and the Hula Grill for sure will be in our top list!
Honestly, service is perfect, food is delicious, cocktails are great. Much better than the restaurant next to them “Monkey Pod”

Possibly the worst poke bowl on the island imo. Service and atmosphere was fine.
