The staff were really friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and we had a nice view of the sunset! The price was very reasonable. All around wonderful experience.

Overall food and service were great! Kids finished their meals. We order two appetizers and my wife and I split the butter fish. We had the chocolate ganache cake and a mango coconut sorbet. We had been here over 8 years ago and the Lava cake was missing due to the restaurant not having a pastry chef. Great views of the sunset and golf course. We stayed at the Westin so it was a short 10 minute walk. This was nice after dinner. We would go back. The quality of the food and details were very good.

Roy's in Kaanapali has always been our go-to place when we're in Maui. We have been to Roy's in Palm Desert, Orlando and San Francisco. For me this menu was rather difficult because almost all of the dishes contain spicy, hot ingredients. However, the wait staff is spectacular and the ambience is good.

We throughly enjoyed our meal! From our entrance greeting until the birthday treat ending our dinner, everything was perfect. My butterfish entree was perfectly seasoned and cooked, my husband's Mahi mahi was as well. Our server was attentive, the ambiance was pleasant even though they were still redecorating. The noise level was not obtrusive. We will return to Roy's Kaanapali again soon!

The monkfish dish was excellent! I also had the Caesar salad. My wife and I shared the Brussels sprouts dish and it was the best we ever had. She also enjoyed the Yama mama meatloaf. We will definitely be back.

The lack of help at this locations was a little obvious, no edamame to start, and the menu is limited. That said they have done well to off-balance this. Food was delicious and service was awesome! It's good to see they're still open and running.

Showed up to a fixed menu for appetizer (about 10 Choices) and main course (about 10 choices) with limited dessert choices and a separate cost-way different than the pull down menu on the open table site. Food was very good and portions were huge but a fixed menu is way different than ala carte menu

Im sympathetic to your dealings with employees struggles since the fire but feel this feedback is necessary. My wife butter fish was very fishy and she could not eat it. Not sure what went wrong on your end but for the extremely high prices you charge, we were not happy with the product. The appetizers were fantastic though and the service was great.

4 of us had dinner last night at Roy's. It was the second time in two weeks that we took guests to Roy's with us. Both times the food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Jenna and Jimmy were our servers and both were personable, helpful with the menu and over all delightful. The miso butterfish didn't disappoint nor did the short ribs and the ribs, calamari, Caesar salad appetizers were amazing. We were disappointed they are not currently serving the molten lava chocolate cake, but were assured it would be back on the menu as soon as they hire a pastry chef. We'll be back!

Fixed menu was not our favorite. We have been to Roy's many times and were looking forward to some of our favorite's but they were not on current menu. Gluten free was difficult to manage.

If you've never eaten at Roy's you can skip this review. For those that are familiar with the menu please be advised that they do not have a pastry chef, so there are no soufflés. I don't know if I would've chose not to dine there, but it was a huge disappointment after thinking about having one all day. Be sure to check their menu before you book because they have trimmed down their dishes. Also they have gone a hybrid fixed price concept. You pick an entrée (they very by price from $54 to $79) then you get to choose one first course item to accompany it. They don't have prices on the first course choices but they vary from $12-$26. But if you don't want one of the first course you can get the entrée a la cart for a discounted price. We ordered the Caesar salad à la cart, which I think was around $14. Then my husband selected the meatloaf, and the Ahi appetizer as his first course. Which I ate as my entrée. Find out what the different prices are on the à la cart items and then make your selection as to which one you want to bundle with the entrée.

Location, food and services are all excellent. Menu is a little limited but enough to cover meals st of our desire for food. Due to the recent wildfires, it is taking a slowly step to come back for his full menu .!! I am waiting for my favorite dish the fried dragon roll back to the menu. That dish is the highlight of the restaurant. Love Roy's. ! It is must go place in our Maui vacation!! Candy W

Food was delicious. My husband had the crab cakes and they were delicious. The ribs are yummy as is the roasted cauliflower. We also had the blackened ahi which was incredible. Jenna was our server and she was attentive and very personable, Roy's is one of our favorites, We were disappointed they don't currently have a pastry chef that can make the molten lava cakes. In spite of that, the dessert was delicious and we had a wonderful dining experience.

Our server did great. We observed that they were a little under staffed and he was honest about it. Loss of Lahaina has affected employment issues all over. I hope the restaurant can survive because it has always been one of my favorites.

We love eating at Roy's and especially this one! The menu is limited but they still have the Misoyaki Butterfish which is alway a treat. Just be patient, everyone is going through something and they still show up with a smile. Be kind and remember ALOHA~
