Portions were way too small. Table location was awful. And same menu as Duke's. Too formulaic

We tried Leilani's on the Beach and found it to be an average experience overall — I'd rate it about 3 stars. The location is great with a nice beach atmosphere, but the restaurant feels more like a polished chain-on-the-ocean rather than a unique dining spot. The food was okay but underwhelming for the price and hype. The hummus was heavy on oil and hidden at the bottom of the plate, the calamari lacked much flavor, and the mashed potatoes had that heat-lamp crust that made them taste like they'd been sitting. Nothing stood out as thoughtful or memorable. Service was friendly, and our waiter did their best, but the restaurant was very busy and it showed. The overall service level didn't quite match what you'd expect for the setting and cost. In hindsight, we probably would have enjoyed the beach bar portion of the restaurant more, since that casual vibe and pace seems like a better fit for this spot.

Management of reservations I would consider poor. A realistic expectation is when you make a reservation to be seated within 5 -10 min of scheduled time. Our wait was just over 20 min with no apology, and we ended up addressing the disappointment. Food wasn't anything to write home about.

We try to have dinner here whenever we come to Maui. Always delicious food, good service, lovely atmosphere. See you next time.

Service by Holly was inattentive and poor throughout. Slow to approach our table, she got our wine order wrong. Slow to receive our entrees which were ok, not great. Live music was not Hawaiian. Why not Hawaiian music in Maui? We were celebrating our anniversary which the hostess acknowledged immediately. Holly seemed unaware. When she went to get us an Hula Pie she spent 20 minutes talking with another table. When she went to get our parking validated she stopped to talk with another table for 15 minutes. All the delays meant we paid more for parking. Food average. Not coming back.

Yummy meal. Started with the sashimi and cocktails. I had the Maui fresh salad and my hubby had the crusted ahi steak. Ashley K and the entire wait staff provided excellent service.

Prime rib was disappointing, fancy colored carrots undercooked and Mai Tai was lacking RUM!

Excellent food; the man that brought the food to our table was very efficient and polite. We did not like the server that took our order; she was not personable and didn't seem like she liked her job!

My husband and I ordered the Parmesan crust fish, which we both liked. Our veggies were cold and hard as rock. My son ordered the prime rib not good at all, cold. We are kind of people we don't send our food back we know what happens in back , we just never go back, since on vacation all I can do warn others , Leilani do better, you should never send out cold food,

Fantastic, second time to Maui, made sure to stop at Leilani's for dinner! We were at the pool at our hotel and recommended Leilani's and they made a reservation for tonight. Love it there!! Especially dessert!!

Food was good. Had one drink. Was too hot while sitting to drink anymore. Overall was a good experience.

We had a reservation at 7:30pm and were not seated until 8. They made no attempt to offer us anything to make up for this. It was our anniversary, and they offered nothing for that either. The best I can say about the waiter was that he was efficient. The food was good, not great. It was loud and busy. At one point they took two chairs from our table in the middle of our meal and dragged them to another table. Just not a great experience at all.

With live music playing and the sun getting ready to set. What a great dining setting in Kaanapali. Very attentive and friendly server and staff. Cold drinks, fresh and cold Caesar salad. Fish special plate was served hot and well portioned, the Filet plate was cooked as ordered and served hot. And not to forget the Hula pie to top off the meal. So do delicious. Will always dine here when in Kaanapali.

Mentioned on OpenTable this was a special occasion (52nd anniversary). No acknowledgement from restaurant. Arrived 6:45 for 7:15 reservation, seated at 7:35. Waitress was terrible, on phone a lot. Dinner served 20 minuets before wine arrived. Dinner half gone prior to wine arrive. First review ever, but felt it was deserving after spending nearly $250 for lousy service.

View of sunset was a 5. Seven our server was ok. The only dish that was outstanding was the Hawaiian ahi poke. The Maui fresh salad was nothing special. Dressing tasted watered down. The ribs on the rib and chicken plate were good but the chicken and slaw were nothing to brag about. Even tho I asked that the monchong not be overcooked it was very dry. I was told the slaw had onions in it which I picked out but was not warned it would taste like bacon. I specifically asked for no extra salt on items yet the green beans were loaded with sea salt. Put the Oreo cookie crust back on the back of the hula pie. This was our worst meal in over 20+ years of dining at Leilanis, which is normally one of our favorite restaurants on Maui.
