Nice location next to the beach although we couldnt actually go onto the sand, the fire show was amazing, and food was good. Overall fun exeperience

Had a blast. Little more of a family feel to this one. Not as glitz as some we have attended, but enjoyed the more intimate setting.

I was very disappointed with my experience. The tickets indicated a 5:00 PM entrance time, but they kept everyone in "general admission" waiting until 5:30 PM, while VIP guests were seated promptly at 5:00 PM. There was no communication about the delay, which was frustrating. When general admission was finally allowed in, we were asked for our names to check in, but before we could respond, we were told to "step back" to let a VIP guest go ahead. This made me feel unvalued and uncomfortable. No one should be asked to step back after already being helped.

Once seated, we were told to sit wherever at the table, only to be asked to move later for other guests, despite there being open or partially empty tables. The food was bland, although the bartender did a great job. The show itself was quite simple compared to others I’ve seen, and for the price, I expected much more. Not to discredit the hard work of the performers. I’ve paid less for a different luau and had a far better experience. Unless you're a VIP or getting a deal, I would recommend considering another luau.

I like this Lu'au because it was outdoors next to the beach so you have a breath taking view of the sunset. Their choices of food was not as grandiose but the flavors were there for sure! If you love alcoholic beverages, you are going to have a fun time here! The staff were nice. VIP seating brings you not only closer to the stage but also first in line at the entrance and the buffet! Come hungry and you will leave happy. The fire dance was fiery and fierce! You can see that everyone was just loving the vibe ??

I’ve been to many luau’s growing up and this one is excellent. We bought the general admission package with leis, had table service for drinks, assigned tables, and of course the buffet. The venue overlooks the Kalapali beach, and is beautiful especially at sunset. The buffet has tons of variety for different needs. We came on our baby moon, so I couldn’t eat the poke or some of the other fish dishes but otherwise I had plenty else to choose from (for reference I tend to eat lean meats, fish/shellfish, or vegetarian). All their cocktails can be made virgin. The show is really fun and really good, the live music is great, and of course you can look at the pig being roasted underground - classic luau must! We were staying at the Royal Lahaina so it was an easy walk back to our room since it is at the hotel. Highly recommend this luau.

This isn't our first luau and this is supposed to be the best on the Island.

Pros:
1. They allow women of all sizes to be dancers
2. buffet style food (good if you have no allergies)
3. unlimited drinks (not good if you have an allergy to corn, bc the bar is limited)

Cons:
1. Pork was dry and no flavor
2. Only thing i could eat that didnt taste meh due to allergies was the poke which was salty
3. Sun beats down on you no matter where you sit giving sunburns

I have been to 3 of the Maui Hawaii Night shows, but I must say they are all good but the Myths of Maui is the best one and they are the only ones that have a really good fire show. The overall experience was very good, I wouldn't say you will get a "wow" show but it is really good overall, keep in mind to go in good spirits and want to have a good time. If you want to avoid long lines and have the advantage of having a dinner without rushing, buy the VIP ticket, you can enter the show 15 minutes before, it will be easy to take pictures, grab drinks and food without lines or rushing. It is definitely a show that if you visit the island you should go to, you will have a great time. The food was really good.

Thought this was a great event. Had a wonderful time, and even got to participate in a dance on stage!

Was hoping for an amazing time. When we arrived only one person from our group could wait in (the very long) line. Finally we were able to go in and they took our picture. Would’ve been an amazing pic if the lady taking it would’ve focused the camera. :(

We were packed in with other tourists and told we could have unlimited buffet food - overcooked Mac and cheese, purple potatoes, salad, meat and rolls. Unlimited drinks- use caution- they are strong drinks. The show was ok, didn’t like that we were packed in, with what had to be, a couple hundred other tourists. With so many choices I’d find somewhere else to go.

Really lovely experience. The food was great, the drinks were strong, and you can't beat that sunset view! The luau is interactive which made it really entertaining.

I didn’t know what to expect since I never went to a luau before but I was throughlyEntertained and could have asked for anything better. The song, dance and stories were all first xlass

The Royal Lahaina Luau is probably my most visited luau on Maui. Was definitely always fun running into a neighbor that happened to be working or just someone I haven’t seen in awhile. Its just one of those fun evening activities to take your friends & family to whenever they get to come visit. Since that sunset view is always gorgeous. Not to forget to mention you just hooked yourself up with some down time to relax, eat, drink & enjoy the show. Plus the fun & friendly atmosphere always makes me miss my dancing days way back in the day.Until next time.XOXO,ChelsieFletcher

The staff are all very kind. It’s just mainly the quality of the show and the food that were not great. After going to this show we took the 22min flight to Oahu and saw the Luau at Disney’s Aulani. The food was so much better and so was the performance. I thought that was as good as it gets then we spent our last day in Hawaii at the Polynesian cultural center. After a day of fun there we had the Luau and show. It was incredible!! Everyone else should be trying to be like the PCC. I don’t know if the Myths of Maui Luau is way over priced or if the PCC is way under priced. You’ll still have a good time here at the Myths of Maui, it’s something to do. Just make sure it’s not the last Luau you go to.

This is our first visit to Maui and our first luau, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but our family had a wonderful time. Some of the food items were only luke-warm, and a couple were overcooked, but overall the food was really good - particularly the chicken and the fried rice. They had plenty of different options for those looking for vegetarian options - lots of salads and veggies - and we absolutely loved that they had chicken fingers and Mac & cheese for our picky eater! The servers were super attentive and friendly, there were copious drink options, and the seating was comfortable. We paid extra for the VIP experience so we had a seat in the front and center, excellent views even for our small kiddos. The VIP experience included leis for the whole family which was nice! The performances were top notch and kept the whole family entertained the whole show! It was definitely a wonderful evening, and while we probably won’t do this every time we visit ($$$$), we would definitely come back again in the future!
