Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant

You need to update OpenTable to state that you're now called Royal noon as well as show your current menu because it's nothing like the old menu. It was disappointing not being prepared ahead of time. The menu completely changed to what we were used to and said we were disappointed.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Planation Moon. We love the old Hollywood Hawaiian vibe. Thank you for the sweet card signed by staff on our table. The food and cocktails were fabulous.

I had the pleasure dining here with my family for my father's birthday and we had an amazing meal! The overall ambience was lovely and the open terrace facing the ocean was stunning as well. One of our servers, Ford explained the hotel's history to us and hosted us with the best service. We felt very welcome and accommodated as he was very helpful and attentive throughout our meal. The food was terrific as well and everything was delicious. I definitely recommend dining here whether it be an intimate date or special family occasion. We all left with a smile on our face and our bellies nice and full. Please support this restaurant! They've done so much for the community in Maui as well.

Very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent. There was a live musician who was overall fun but makes it harder to converse (just a little), but it also made for a nice ambiance.

VERY best dining experience my wife and i had during our 1 week stay in Maui. Even more broadly, it was one of the best dining experiences i've had. We had whole crispy deep-sea red snapper that was prepared perfectly and served steaming-hot. We sat out on the porch with a great view of the water. Our server was GREAT, attentive, always there at the right time, but still left my wife and i alone enough, unpressured and relaxed. Get there early, this place fills up (we reserved at 5pm)...simply the BEST!

Great and friendly staff. They just opened 3 weeks ago after being the host for a year to the Red Cross due to the Lāhainā fire. They are very appreciative of the business and people coming back. Ocean view seating was incredible. 5 Stars to support a great cause.

We had such a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. They made us feel like we were VIP. The Poke bowl and cioppini were delicious and the portions are generous. We'll be back on our next trip to paradise.

Great ocean view, excellent food at good price for such a special restaurant, and service and attention by manager 'Ford' was especially good. Can enjoy quiet to converse with soft Hawaiian music in background. This is the essence of a fantasy of Hawaii vs noisy, crowded restaurants that are the norm.

We very much enjoyed this place. Quiet, upscale, dining by the pool with the ocean view just behind it. AMAZING musician playing/singing hawaiian music through dinner. He was a perfect volume to both enjoy the music and continue the conversation at the table. Waiter was great, food was good.

Great staff, so nice and friendly. The atmosphere is top-notch and doesn't get better. The food is great as well. Can't go wrong here.

They've reopened recently after being the home for Red Cross activities for the past year. The servers were friendly, and you could trust Ford for hospitality. Would recommend you visit this place if you're staying at Kaanapali.

Ford the Manager was a 25 year veteran employee and treated us so well. Cara our server was also a Hawaii native and took such good care of us and the kids. The food and drinks were great and I would highly recommended for couples or families.

Food was decent for our first night on Maui, but what probably stood out most was the service. Wait staff very attentive to ensuring glasses were full with water, no rushing to order, answered questions on the menu, and ensured specials were detailed to our understanding. On top of that, Ford the manager personally greeted us and every table and thanked us for coming in. We were celebrating our younger daughter's straight A year in high school and they acknowledged here with their Maui Pie. Ambiance was great because the dining area was outside under a giant awning. Going around 6:30pm was great for the time of the year because after dinner and dessert are done, it's about sunset. After dinner you can take pictures from the hotel grounds. They make a Hawaiian version of cioppino which my wife liked. My daughter had their crab cakes and I ate steak. I've seen another review speak of their filet as a steak covered in BBQ sauce and I can see how that can be tasted as such. However, it was properly prepared the way I like it, med-rare and I enjoyed the flavor.

We had dinner on 7/8/24 as a party of 12, and we had a great time at Royal Ocean Terrace. The view was beautiful, the service was fantastic, and the food was some of the best we've had on the island!
