“My friend and I had just spent time with our families on the Kauai Plantation Railway and we decided to head over to the lounge for an adult beverage. We both had Mai Tais and they were really very good. Our bartender was great and took good care of us. The lounge was cool because it feels like you stepped back in time. Once our families caught up to us we moved to the outside patio which has a little more of a modern feel which opened up to an open grassy area where the kids ran around and played. The Mai Tais were so good that we came back two days later for round 2. If you want a great Mai Tai and a nice spot to chill and relax, this is your spot.“

“We are HGV owners and are enjoying our time at the point. We can’t say enough about Mike and Marla the Magnificent and Zada! So helpful, so personable, food is great, so accommodating! Feel like I’ve known them forever! Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience with the December 4th morning bartender Keoki. He seemed bothered to have to assist us in any capacity. Short and disrespectful in his responses as well. Glad that we woke up to Marla on Friday to start our day!

“The food from here exceeded our expectations quite a bit, it is delicious. The place has a poolside snack bar vibe but the food and drinks are top notch. They have many servers who come by regularly to place orders. Or you can walk up and place an order. The prices are average for a casual poolside dining experience on the island but well worth it. The first time we ate from here my wife got a Chinese Chicken Salad and I got the Shrimp Shipwreck Salad. Both were huge servings and very tasty. I think my shrimp salad had a skewer of about 7-8 shrimp that were so flavorful. The dressings for both salads were extremely tasty. We also had cocktails, I had the Lilikoi Margarita and my wife the Froze Guava, both spectacular. The second day we ate there I had the fish tacos which were out of this world delicious, fresh and very tasty. If you are a fish taco fanatic like I am ordering these are a must. You won’t be disappointed. I believe it is the only restaurant in the resort with poolside service but that is not an issue because the menu has great options, the service is spectacular and the food is definitely sit down, nice restaurant quality. We highly recommend it for food and drinks.“

“I was so excited to go here, and it was SO GOOD! Such a cute little restaurant and market. It was pouring when we arrived, but we got there right at opening, so no wait. I had the Tai Me Up cocktail, which was excellent. The deviled eggs with crispy Spam were beyond incredible—a must-order (though the flavor might rotate). I also tried the daily fish sandwich, which was perfectly crispy in the cornmeal, with a soft bun that just melts in your mouth—I absolutely loved it. The Ahi Au Poivre was incredible too, a fun and clever take on the classic dish, very well done. Service was friendly, thoughtful, and quick, the space is bright and airy. Hoping to come back, this place is a must!“

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). There are 2 locations on the island“

“This primarily sushi restaurant was very good and the name and decor has an interesting backstory, though not Japanese. The lobster dynamite is fantastic. All sushi and sashimi were fresh and well prepared but very classic. There are no unusual or creative rolls.“

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!“
