What a gem! Cozy outdoor farm to table restaurant that overlooks their 5-acre dragonfruit farm. Enjoy the farm, ocean, and sunset views while you listen to live music and enjoy your cooked to order meal. Everything on the menu is delicious, and if you need gluten-free food, they've got you covered as the entire menu is gluten-free. You may need to wait for a table, it's worth it, or you can take your food to go. Remember to get dessert!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free & VegetarianParking: Larger vehicles will want to park on the street shoulder.

Just love Tai Shan farms from the surroundings to the service and awesome food. Fortunately for me I live a mile away but worth the drive if you live 50 or more miles away!!

We had an incredibly enjoyable meal at Tai Shan Farms last night. The owners were serving, cooking, and had made the best pana cotta I’ve ever had. I love farm-to-table and we actually got to walk around the farm and see growing what we would soon be eating. They locally source 75-77% of what they serve. $33 for a perfectly cooked petite filet mignon, salad, seasonal vegetable, potato of the day, and dessert, what?!?! My boyfriend’s sister ordered the best fish tacos any of us has ever tasted, and my boyfriend got a great burger, The Kevin Bacon. It might not have serenaded us the way @kevinbacon serenades his goats, but it definitely serenaded Chris’ tastebuds. We were all quite pleased and still talking about the meal today. We arrived just a few minutes after 4pm when they opened, which timed us perfectly to stop to enjoy the sunset from a high elevation country road on our drive back up to Kona. We highly recommend the adventure out to this wonderful outdoor farm dining experience off the beaten path.

This place is magical. This place was very highly recommended by close friends/locals. Sounded very intriguing..Firstly you have to be reasonable as to what to expect; there are four tables and one main chef. Depending on how busy it is, it may take more time than your average dine out experience. Single portapotty available for bathroom needs. The staff is warm, diligent and accommodating, the chef/owner himself making rounds to chat and visit, allowing me to lavish praise upon his craft.Live music most nights; the gentleman there the night I went was friendly and entertaining, willing to play requests...even learning a few songs on the spot in doing so. Overlooking the dragon fruit orchard, with the sea view in the background it was very pleasant for me to sit and relax, patiently awaiting the culinary delights that were being crafted. We were third in line as the tables before us were served, so again there was a little bit of a wait...but as the saying goes good things come to those that do so.And of course the food.. at first taste of the house salad with the delicious homemade caeser dressing I knew this was going to be something special. As a side note when I go out for steak, usually I feel I can do an equivalent or better job at home... but not here, it was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, the quality of the meat, the care of preparation...just phenomenal. The vegetables delectable, the potatoes quite tasty...everything cooked to perfection. And to top it off for dessert the best custard I've ever tasted, with the aformentioned dragon fruit, blueberries and whipped cream it was the perfect finishing move to a meal that legitimately left me filled with joy.Everything together inspired me to leave a review, something I have not done before for anything. Perhaps your experience may differ, as we all have different perspectives.. but much as the individual perspective of drops of the oceans' mist returning to the whole, I think we can all agree Tai Shan Farms is truly something special if you can spare the time.Peaceful Mountain indeed ❤️

A great little spot off the beaten path. The food and hospitality was 11/10! One of the best steaks I have ever had! The view was great too!

This little four table outdoor bistro was phenomenal! We started with the parm and garlic steak fries, I had the steak sammie, my husband had the Kevin bacon burger, and we finished with chocolate chip and mac nut cookies. We also had their specialty lemonade. Everything was extremely tasty! The service was good, but what made the night was the chef talking to everyone. The place is small, and the chef cooks right in front of you. He was really fun to talk to about his 2 acre farm (passion fruit, dragon fruit, and more). The view is really pretty as it overlooks the farm and the coastline below.

This is far from street food as categorized on yelp currently. First off best meal we had on the island. Would highly recommend dinner here after the green sand beach. About 2 miles away is local grocery store and this is byob so stop off for a nice bottle of wine and enjoy their 3 course meal. Filet was cooked perfect, potatoes awesome and salad pre meal was spot on. As a food snob, nothing to say about this place other than a must visit. Very enjoyable service staff and atmosphere

Phenomenal food, friendly staff, beautiful views. We went twice during our visit to Big Island and were wowed both times. The owner came out from cooking to check on us and the food quality both times & we had zero complaints! My husband said, "it's fine dining quality food at Hawaiian prices, in a very comfortable and beautiful environment." When he had a bite of my steak, he said "this place is putting steak houses to shame". Would TOTALLY recommend!

Best place we ate in Hawaii. So good we went there twice. This was the best gluten free food I’ve ever had.

I really can't say enough about TSF, the seating is small, however once you go here, you'll be back! The food is beyond amazing, the service is fabulous and very personable. Nice menu options, 3 course meals, amazing view!
