Unfortunately couldn’t get a fruit smoothie as they were out of fruit but staff was very friendly the both the hot latte and iced macchiato were incredible, easily better than Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Kind of a hidden gem to check out for sure!!”

“It was ok. For having a spontaneous meal at a BBQ place it was not bad. Had had the chicken lovers plate (3 different variations of chicken on a bed of rice and noodle salad) while my friends had bowls and a cheeseburger. The bowls were also ok, but a little gravy or sauce would have been nice.
The service was nothing special but also not bad. The atmosphere felt like a trucker stop - ok if you know it. I would say it was a solid meal we had.”

“My wife and I stayed at The Volcano House and decided to take a trek to look for food. We decided on Ka Lae and glad we did. The young woman who took our order was very nice and helpful when ordering. The food is made to order and prices are reasonable. If we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely be stopping in.
