Delicious barbecue! Excellent portion size for a great great price. Absolutely made our day! The service was great as well- super kind people. Would absolutely recommend if you're in the area!

The food was good, for the most part, but expensive. The meats were kinda cold. I think it had been sitting around. They cook it in advance. Understandable, but they should do a better job of reheating it before serving. Not a lot of options. No rice, no french fries. . . They do have baked potato, but it wasn't offered as a "side" for free. You can buy a "plain Jane" potato with butter for $8.85. Or their special "Smokin Potato" for $11.85. Or "Super Spud" for $15. No condiments, no salt and pepper, no Lawry's seasoning salt, which would have been nice. . . Bring your own! $24.50 for the special. $2.50 for a can of soda, and a minimum 15% fee, plus 4% tax. $32.29 altogether. This is the first time I had to tip at a food truck. I consider mandatory tips a fee, not really a tip. $32 is about what I would spend at Kaleos. So, the next time, do I want to eat under a tarp on mud, dirt, and gravel at a food truck, or do I want to eat at Kaleos, the nicest restaurant in this one horse town, a one minute walk away. . .

Ok wow. So we're staying in Pāhoa and were curious to check out the food trucks in town. Pretty sure we were the first customers, but we ordered brisket sandwich with Cole slaw and chips. The brisket is so tender and delicious. There was plenty for the sandwich and then some left over to just munch on. The flavor was great and it was the perfect pit stop before heading out to Hilo. Out of the two food trucks we tried in the area, this was by far our favorite and exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend supporting this small local business that serves incredible bbq! Mahalo!

Best smoked meats on the island. Open Friday from 11 to sold out. Loved the smoked beef ribs with beans and potato salad. They even had gluten free options, which can be hard to find on the island. If you love southern BBQ you have got to try it out.
