We very much enjoyed the food, tried a few of the soba and many nigiri and maki. The first plates came out quickly then we waited 45 minutes for the last two items. Server seemed very frazzled. By the end we were the second to last table still waiting for two rolls…very odd. They finally came our afternoon we asked about them twice. I would give them another try though.

Fresh and delicious soba and sashimi, with a charming outdoor atmosphere and excellent service to boot. The prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful little hole in the wall with really solid Soba.

I realllly wanted to like this place, saw overall good reviews, photos looked good, love that their Soba is gluten free 100% buckwheat… but my experience was underwhelming. The duck soba was very plain, the broth decent but the water used had a strong enough tap water taste that it ruined it for me (I’m probably more sensitive than most however to tap water/chlorine but do believe restaurants should use and serve filtered water). The sushi was plain, bland, and had a weird after taste - almost like soap. I’ve eaten at dozens of Japanese/sushi places and even spent a week in Japan eating out the whole time. I’m rarely ever disappointed but I struggled to like the food here. Also the Ono side dish was just a plain piece of fish (possibly previously frozen) that was overcooked, tough, and had little flavor. Tough to spend as much $ as I did on a disappointing meal. The environment is really nice though, that plus gluten free soba is the only reasons I didn’t give one star. Sorry but just need to be honest.

Recently dined here and had a wonderful experience. Can’t believe I slept on this place. Definitely a new favorite spot for me. Friendly staff, excellent atmosphere, and the food was wonderful. We tried hot and cold soba, the eggplant, tuna and eel nigiri, and the mackerel appetizer. All fantastic. Will be returning and recommending it to friends. Dog friendly is an extra bonus! They were so sweet to my pup.

The vibe and concept are really cool and I love that there's vegan and vegetarian options, but we had a poor experience. The seating is outside on a gravel patio, I should have anticipated to be visited by creatures but it didn't occur to me just how many. I counted 5 roaches in my immediate area that I could spot EASILY. I know it's Hawaii, and it's a partly outside restaurant, but I have a phobia of roaches and had to leave and take out food to go while my husband checked out. The server seemed understanding but did laugh when he explained the situation.. the vegan hot tofu soup and vegan cold mushroom cloud soba option were really not good. I had a couple bites and couldn't finish. It tasted bland but overly like nori/seaweed and not much other flavor besides sesame.

We ordered soba and a side dish of eggplant, and one avocado roll. Portions VERY small compared to price for every item and not particularly tasty. We felt it was a bad value despite the lovely atmosphere.

Best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan. So authentic, so good, and good quality. Felt great after. The place is a vibe, felt like I was in Japan too. I will be back.

Amazing soba! Would never have known it was here if I didn’t accidentally park in front of it. Very small but beautiful interior.

Great, authentic food. Best meal I’ve had in a while. Simple, yet wonderfully executed soba with dipping sauce and a mochi and ice cream.
