Good food, Good service.

The food was undercooked (burgers) and overcooked (steak twice and burger). The food seasoning was inconsistent. The staffing was really low. The serbice was slow. The entire interior was wore down and with torn seats, leaking toilets, peeling paint.

We came here to celebrate my grandpa's birthday, our moods lightened. We left feeling extremely dissatisfied. The waiter that served us was rushing and pushy, and was vague with what was available. We waited a long time for our food to arrive. When it did, we were surprised. I had ordered a medium rare patty, and got a well done, almost burnt patty. And the things that I ordered with never came. As did my brother, who's whole steak was burnt and bitter. The broccoli wasn't even cut, just pulled from the stem and thrown onto the plate as if they wanted the people eating the good to be miserable. Overall horrible experience. Do better with how you train your waiters to act, and how you train your cooks to cook the food that someone is going to eat. We also weren't provided with straws or utensils at the start, and had to ask for them. The second time the remade steak came, it was rare, when we ordered medium. On our receipt, they included things that we didn't even order.

My friend and I went here. We both got steaks that were bland and slightly overcooked. I got Mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes. Both of which were possibly the blandest things I've had. The Mac and cheese and potatoes came out cold. The potatoes were slightly overcooked I got an order of garlic cheese bread as an appetizer and it had an almost sour/off taste to it. The only thing that was fine was the brown bread they give you. But even then it required butter and salt to have any sort of flavor. The staff were fine. Nothing to complain about or praise there. The price is okay enough for being on Oahu. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you hate flavor or consider mayonnaise a seasoning then this is the place for you.

My party had 7:45 reservations and were seated within ten to fifteen minutes upon arriving, which was not bad since it was Father's Day. The waitress promptly greeted us and was very friendly. She answered our questions about the menu and made recommendations. The restaurant has a Western theme that looks a little outdated. I ordered the top sirloin because I was not in the mood for a large steak. It came with two classic sides for $21 I believe. I asked for a medium rare steak and upon cutting it, it appeared medium well. Not only was it overcooked, it had no flavor. I asked for a loaded baked potato, which was a $3 upcharge, and one of the special vegetables, corn on the cob. The potato looked nothing like the menu, and was not worth the uncharted since it lacked flavor. Also, I was given asparagus instead of corn. The waitress fixed the problem with my side and was apologetic. My daughter and her husband ordered the $71 special that came with one appetizer, two entrees, four sides and one dessert. They said that their food was not too good as well. Overall, I would give this restaurant a 3.5. I was expecting more considering the name of the place. I've had better steaks at other mainstream steakhouses found on the mainland. Based on the food, I would not recommend or return.

Got this as a Fathers Day dinner. Ordered Prime Rib with clam chowder and baked potatoes. The Prime Rib was ordered medium but came out so well done when I cut it with my knife dry steak shavings are forming. Plus no ounce of seasoning was added. Clam chowder is by far the worst clam chowder I’ve had. It’s watery and filled with potatoes, I thought they gave me baked potatoes soup, I have yet found any clams.

Really terrible food for such special day.

Not as great as I remembered it.

Food and service used to be decent here. Came in on a slow day for an early Father’s Day and the server was just super annoyed we were there. He set things down really hard several times. Didn’t check on us at all and seemed more interested in talking to coworkers and watching the World Cup than being our server.

I don’t know if he just made unfair assumptions about us based on how we’re dressed or something (it’s hawai’i ffs—nothing wrong with T-shirt and shorts) and maybe assumed we wouldn’t tip well or something?

Whatever it was, his whole attitude changed when he realized it was Father’s Day when he tried to hand my dad the check and I took it and explained why I was paying. He was immediately more attentive and nice. But kind of too little too late at that point, we were already done with the meal. I still tipped what was expected—my dad thought I shouldn’t have for the treatment we got. He was pretty upset. So much for Father’s Day lunch.

And the food was… Not like it used to be. We used to come here for Father’s Day every year. Stopped around covid. But the food is just not worth the price anymore. My dad’s steak was overcooked. My mash potatoes were sad, dense, and lumpy. This is food I would pay maybe $15 a plate for at a restaurant. Not $30+.

Will not be coming back. Clearly there was a change in management and whoever is in charge doesn’t care to run a nice restaurant anymore. We will find a new steakhouse for Father’s Day in the future.

2 stars because at least the server wasn't being openly hostile. But I also just have a bit higher tolerance. If it was just me I probably wouldn’t have left a review. But y’all kind of ruined my dad’s day over stuff that’s like… Customer service 101.

Their new 22 ounce Porterhouse is not 22 ounces, and it's a t-bone not a Porterhouse but they charge for a 22-ounce Porterhouse.

Fair food. Fatty thin steak. But very friendly staff.

For the price, they should have prepared the meat better. But overall, it was not bad.

Always get the Filet. It's worth it. The black and tan beer is off the charts.

Corey was fantastic during our meal. Super friendly and really on top of things, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It made for a really enjoyable experience, and we appreciated his great service. Definitely added to our overall good time there.

Our party of six, was there in Saturday evening, May 30th. Our server, REGGIE C., was the epitome of excellent service. Our reservation was for 7pm and by the time we were seated and getting our drinks, it was 7:35om. Our poor server looked exhausted and was trying so hard to keep upbeat, and smiled each time he approached our table. I say he looked tired because he was sweating like a horse!! Our food arrived promptly, and he was SO aware of everything that either needed a refill and immediately delivered any request.
Angus Barn is very fortunate to employ this young man and to have him as part of the Pearl City team. Thank you, REGGIE, for your service and attention to detail. Mahalo
