Daiichi Ramen Pearl City

Had a really nice, first-time experience here recently. Big menu, something for everyone in your party. Service was quick. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner. The food was out about five minutes after ordering. Their regular entrees (saimins, curries, etc) are large portions. Honestly enough to share! Had leftovers at home and it was just as tasty as in the restaurant. 10/10!

Before your say “we should eat here, we never tried this spot before”…. Think again. I’m saying this with all honestly I can buy a 6pack of ramen for 8$ at Costco and make it taste better than this 14$ bowl of ramen. I took 3 bites of the miso ramen and drank some of the “broth” (doesn’t even feel right calling it that) and put my chopsticks down. Normally I’m not picky and I’ll always finish my food even if it’s not good; this was the first time in my life I’ve walked out a restaurant completely disappointed

I'm Japanese, but this is not Japanese ramen at all.
The only people working here are Chinese.
They were watching us while we were eating.
The ramen and fried rice came so quickly that it felt strange.
The soup, which was just water and something added, was the worst ramen I've ever had in my life
I don't want you to use Japanese name
I feel uncomfortable that people from other countries think this is Japanese ramen.
Shame on you for taking money for such crappy ramen.
My husband said my dumplings were 100 times better.

It's not japanese ramen. It's just egg noodles with cheap broth and the pork is not real pork charsu. I didn't even finish my bowl. I wasted my money for this cheap noodle soup. I dont wanna call it ramen because it doesn't taste like ramen.

One of our favorie ramen spots. Very fresh ingredients and packed full of flavor. Definitely a go to spot if you want ramen. The mapo tofu is also really good on their crispy noodles.

Recommended dishes: Tonkotsu Ramen, Mochiko Chicken Curry, Miso Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen, Calamari Katsu

Place hasn't changed much except the prices. Chicken katsu curry cake with 2 chicken katsu with a lot of rice and curry. I see why it's a comfort food restaurant for local style Japanese food.

Very tasty food and always great service! The combo meals are always a good choice for variety. This visit we got the gyoza teishoku and mini miso ramen with mini fried rice.

They use a powder base for their ramen. Not real bone marrow and they also use basic ramen noodles. Literally like top ramen noodles.

They messed up my order. Asked for extra noodles. Wasn't prepared provided but they did make it right (the manager) and that was appreciated. Won't try again. One of the worst ramen restaurants I've ever tried.

Yesterday, 9/20/25 around 5PM we ate here and the food was good, I even left a 5-star review. However, today my baby and I woke up with severe food poisoning after sharing the same dish (Miso Combo, Gyoza, Fried Rice). My husband ordered something different and had no symptoms. We ended up having to go to the hospital. Please review your food safety procedures so this doesn’t happen to another family. We’re highly disappointed.
