Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant

It was Fathers Day so I expected it to be busy. We had a 730 reservation didnt get seated till 830 and still had to wait to get order in and food came out 925. Food was good as always and I feel bad for our server he knew we were waiting awhile.

The food never disappoints but was pretty annoying that they had coned off handicap parking spaces for their delivery truck. My 100-year old grandma is a huge fan (as are many kapuna) so this makes it pretty difficult to bring her.

Family has been going here for many years. But was disappointed recently. The portion size verses the price didn't match up.
Sorry to say we left there still hungry.😔

Very friendly staff. Food comes out relatively quick. Nice little quaint restaurant. Try for early dinner, because this place fills up fast.

Great food and service. Non-lifted (normal) 0.5 ton trucks can't fit in the parking garage due to low clearance.

Gyotaku has been a family favorite for years!We’ve celebrated baby showers, anniversaries, graduations, and more at this restaurant. Gyotaku offers plenty of options, but I especially enjoy the 4-choice combination bento. And don't forget to treat yourself to shave ice for dessert. Highly recommended!

Visiting from Maui services here is outstanding. The 1st time came for dinner. Our 2nd time here, we decided to have lunch. Can't complain about the prices. They're reseonable. We had the Pokechos, Gyotaku Lunchbox, Teri Steak, and finished the meal with their Deluxe Green Tea shaveice topped with azuki beans and vanilla ice cream.

There's a reason restaurants like this one has been around for decades. Great service, good food and affordable specials for Seniors. The staff cares about their customers. It would not be surprising that someone's Obasaan trained all the staff to cook her recipies. It's old school Japanese. Their food reminds me of Edo's. The tempura batter is cooked perfectly. Light batter and crispy. Not that frozen tube shrimp rolled in panko. They offer affordable take outs and also a Happy Hour.
