We purchased a sashimi tray from H Mart Pearl City and was shocked to find a live fly inside (buried under the shredded daikon garnish) after we had already eaten most of it. This was extremely concerning from a food safety and sanitation standpoint. I returned to the store and received a refund, but when I spoke with a worker in the seafood department, I was told they’ve been having problems with flies recently due to a shipment of blue crabs from the mainland, many of which arrived dead. That comment was even more alarming, as it raises questions about how seafood is being stored, handled, and sold here. Food safety should be the highest priority, especially when dealing with raw seafood. I hope H Mart addresses this issue immediately, because this kind of experience is unacceptable and makes me hesitant to trust their seafood section in the future.

The staff at the Huntington Beach, CA location really need retraining. They come across as unfriendly and unprofessional from the cashiers to the gift distribution area and even the stocking employees. Their attitudes, tone of voice, and overall demeanor make it seem like they dislike their jobs and are working under pressure. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had

H Mart I went to the Las Vegas location for the first time today! It is an exceptionally beautiful store. Everything is amazing. The employees were fantastic. The prices were great. I purchased a fresh crab and lobster which I have not had since I lived in Washington state. I purchased living fresh herbs and I picked up the ingredients to make lumpia tomorrow. I am having fresh crab for dinner tonight 😍Thank you so much H Mart for coming to our area. The store was packed today.
