The food is terrible. I got the taco bowl and got vegan dairy and soy chorizo which upcharges $7. ($2 for vegan dairy and $5 for soy chorizo. Its not worth it. The bowl was really bad, lacked any flavor and wasnt too filling. The chips and salsa ($7) also was bad. I made chips at home and theyre just corn tortillas chopped up into 8 pieces then deep fried. They dont taste like real chips. The salsa came out hot, like not spicy hot but warm hot and burnt my tongue and also tastes like tosidas jar salsa. I would not return and I urge people not to visit. Too expensive and nothing here is worth it.
Great little walk up place! I love mexican food and this spot is awesome because you can choose your own adventure and make whatever- each item as is is vegetarian and you can make vegan by omitting thinfs and adding soyrizo if you’d like! I got the pesto pesto burrito and added the spicy soyrizo and it was GREAT! My boyfriend got the soyrizo tacos and he really enjoyed them! Also a plus this place stays open a bit later than most things around so that’s a win.
The only thing worse than a raw onion in a burrito is a raw RED onion. I made it super-clear to the girl when I ordered but I hate raw onions so I ordered my burrito without pico. About the third or fourth time I bit into tons of raw onion I gave up on the burrito. It took a while for them to make it, and I double checked when I took it from them that there was no pico. I don’t know what else is full of raw onion, the corn maybe? I saved the burrito, thinking I could dissect it and at least eat the good parts later, but it was a mushy mess by then. Putting pesto in a burrito is an interesting move. I didn’t hate that part.. I was a little bit hesitant about ordering Mexican food on Kauai. There wasn’t a lot open in Princeville but I should’ve held out a few minutes to Hanalei town. Food trucks galore there! For what it’s worth this burrito is a decent value. Not for me because I didn’t eat very much of it. But it’s a lot of food for 11 bucks ($17 with protein.) It’s actually too much, basically a sloppy mess!
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian unless you pay six dollars to add meat/protein

Red hot mama’s was amazing the first time we had it and still 3 years later. Fantastic food, Food court with live music, shade and breeze. Great for families.

Just a few people were sitting outside - not much going on. They told us the wait will be 25-30 min to get 2 take out burritos. We ended up waiting almost 50 minutes. Not acceptable.

Rating this 5 stars for the beer battered tacos. Have gotten them multiple times on this trip and love them. The burritos were okay, not my style. Love the fish tacos though

Pesto Pesto was delicious, never had pesto in a burrito before so I had to try it! Easy to ask them to make it vegan.

Awful, dog food , served on paper plates and just overall drenched in canola oils so bad.
I visited this location to grab dinner. I got the Baja rice bowl and my friend got fat mama burrito. The flavor was good and I felt the taste was good but a few ingredients were canned and not fresh. The wait time was the most stressful part of the order. We were informed the wait time would’ve approximately 30mins and it took close to 50 mins for us to get the food. They had only one cook prepping all the orders which caused this delay, and it made our appetite worse. Anyways, I would recommend this location to hire one more person to cut waiting time. Unfortunately my visit was not their best days.

The ingredients listed on the menu weren’t actually represented in my burrito. The “quinoa rice” was mainly just rice, the cheese was non existent, and the avocado was just scooped out in a giant clump. I asked for no pico and it was clearly put on then scooped out leaving remnants. Kinda gross for me.
Came in at 3:15pm on Saturday Nov 30th…took 45 mins to get food. It wasn’t even wrapped to go and was falling apart. I had to ask them to rewrap it. The burrito was falling apart and food spilling out all over. The worst 45.00 I ever spent. The staff coming in for the next shift were upset with the guy cooking. He appeared to not know what he was doing. Very disappointed
