Wonderful views, the “healthy bowl” consisted of white rice with 2 mushrooms, 3 onion slices and an egg. Wood fired pizza oven but with no gluten free options. Messed up our fish taco order and they were way too salty. Lost our waitress for about 20 minutes. Underwhelmed to say the least.
Dietary restrictions: Not accommodating.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner and drinks. Someone he played golf with reccomended. The vibe seemed chill and the view by the ocean was amazing!
We had a couple of drinks and ordered food... Appetizer and drinks were great! Ordered catch of the day plus side dish and it was ok.
We waited for the waiter to come back and check on us but he never did. I get he was helping at the bar but 30 min is a long time to wait.
The other waiter Bill (happened to hear him say that was his name) noticed and did not bother to check on us or send our waiter our way. Not that many tables to attend maybe 4. Definitively busy bar but poor service. My husband had to go an ask for the bill at the bar. Not a good first impression.

Sandbox at 1 Hotel is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks! The tacos were delicious, and the drinks were amazing—exactly what we needed to beat the heat. The fresh fruits were a nice touch, and the desserts were the perfect sweet finish. We had a wonderful time by the pool, with stunning views of the beach and the Napali coast. It’s a must-visit for anyone staying at the hotel!

Service was horrible. Our glasses sat empty and the waitress never checked on us. It wasn't even busy and now i know why. Chips tasted stale and salsa was oddly pureed. More of a sauce than salsa. They served us the wrong flatbread as well. Pretty atmosphere, but not worth the price.

We decided to check out the Sandbox on the evening we arrived. After spending some time at the adult pool, we were told they were no longer serving food so we headed down to the sandbox to get a few snacks. Eric helped us out and he was wonderful, very attentive and friendly. We started with the shrimp tacos and they were really good! Add some verde hot sauce from Kauai Juice Co and they have a great kick! We then decided to just stay and have an early dinner because we were too tired to drive to our original dinner plan. We ended up trying the smash burger, pizza, and salad. All were great! Nothing fancy but it definitely hit the spot!

The food here was very delicious! I would say the highlights were the wood oven pizza. Very special to have such gourmet pizzas at the beach. When I was there, I tried their specials, Hawaiian pizza, and the shrimp pizza. All were delicious.
The tacos were delicious as well and the proteins in it were solid. I would skip the Poke, it was the only item I found to be meh.

A resort outdoor restaurant. You dine pool side. It’s a hike to get to and from valet parking
Parking: There is only the valet option. The restaurant is far from the drop off. You will traverse the entire hotel grounds and take 2 elevator rides to get to your pizzas.

Food was very good, loved the tasteful live music. Our server Leah was very nice and clearly doing her best, so 1 star for service is simply due to how understaffed the management had this place. Maybe they just didn’t expect Monday to be busy.
The hostess, 2 servers, and one busser were doing all they could to keep up, and had great spirits, but simply did not have enough help. Guests literally walking around trying to find some way to put in their orders. I read reviews for the Terrace place upstairs which shared similar experiences, but still took a leap to eat at the resort. Unfortunate because we’re paying a premium to stay here, and there aren’t any other options.
I hope management see this and can do a better job either staffing appropriately, removing tables so servers don’t have such huge sections, or simply being present at their restaurant to see the service and maybe help out. It’s what I’d want- wife and I have 20+ years of food service experience between us, and would be so embarrassed if this were our place.

Food here is pretty good. We enjoyed the fish tacos. Cocktails are pricey ($25 each) but really good. What kills this place is the terrible service. It took us 30 minutes to flag down someone just to get the check.Pool side service is even worse. There were several times we placed orders that just never came. One of the days during stay they opened late and we were told that 5/5 of the servers called out so they had to rush to call in new staff. This entire 1 Hotel is short staffed and poorly managed.

Over priced for what you get. Mini garden side salad shown below was $30 +++++ and I was starving 10 minutes later.

The pool is beautiful, but if you’re looking for fun as a family, this is not the place. The vibe is very serious and elitist. Our family felt quite out of place.I ordered a $24 salad thinking it was a meal, but it was the size of a side salad. To add protein would have been another $15-19.If you’re staying at the resort I’m sure it’s a great option, but as a family who was just looking for a good dinner we were very disappointed.A few nights prior we went to the Lava Lava Beach Club and we had the time of our lives! I’d recommend there instead.
