Shaved Ice Restaurants near Waianae, HI

“Went here after a dolphin snorkel trip for some shaved ice. Haven't been on this side of the island for 30+ years so it was time to try something new.

This is a small little shop in a strip mall. Very unassuming except for a sign stating that their shaved ice was voted #1 by the readers of Honolulu Magazine.

The staff here was very welcoming and there was no wait to place our orders. There was no medium cups available for shaved ice so we got smalls. I recommend getting a small. Not too big and not too small. Just right

There are many different add on things like ice cream, snow cap condescend milk, ube cap, mochi, azuki beans, etc. Sadly no azuki beans were available when we were there

The shaved ice was so fine and smooth. It melts in your mouth. Definitely better than some other well known shaved ice places I've been to. The syrup wasn't overdone or underdone. I had the strawberry and haupia with mochi and snow cap. The strawberry syrup was pretty good but the haupia was excellent. Next time I'll stick to that by itself so it wasn't drowned out by stronger flavors. The mochi portion was nice. I would hold off on the snow cap with this combo and size. The narrow cup didn't allow for a good snow cap portion.

Excellent shaved ice if you're on this side of the island. Will definitely recommend and will be coming back when I return to the islands.“

“oh my heart is soo full. to see the children line up after school for a refreshing sweet treat and see the barrio style place this is what makes this a magical place you can see the real hawaii and the authentic, culture and experience what the aloha spirit means and truely feel it in your soul. it is soo soothing and refreshing to have a the delight of shaved ice after a long walk on the beach.“

“We ordered Micahs Special, Chicken Cutlet with Dark Gravy, & a second Mac Salad on the side. Everything was cooked & seasoned perfectly! The cutlets were crispy and tender. The Mac Salad was bomb! Micah Special had best fried noodles and crispy fries! We got baked goods to go. Very welcoming and comfortable. I loved the beautiful hydrangeas. Great customer service! Plenty of parking. We will be back to try the Shave Ice and Ice Cream. Definitely recommend and will Definitely be back!“

“All I'm going to say is that the poke served here is severely underrated. I give the poke here a 10 out of 10. The poke here isn't drowned in sauce. Here the it's the fish that is the highlight of the poke. Also the fish is very very fresh. I should know I fish for a living. Highly recommended to eat here“

“I’m not usually a fan of shave ice, started with one bowl for my daughter. Omg. The flavours are amazing, natural Ingredients for the syrup instead of food colouring and artificial flavours. Went back for 2 more bowls! This place is amazing. Kudos to the team. Keep it up.“

“This place is well worth the trip when you have a car rental and want to stay out of the crowded tourist crowds. We visited this shoppe on an early weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. They have a lot of items in stock, and there was a kind staff member there who greeted us and gave us some coffee and chocolate free samples. We also got a tour of their coffee bean production plant, the coffee farm as well as a few cocoa plants that were at the back of the shoppe. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and bought some souvenir snacks here that we couldn't find elsewhere in the main Waikiki city. I recommend visiting this shop, and big thanks from Canada and the USA for the staff's kindness and hospitality!“
