Was looking for a quality breakfast where loco Moco was served and we found a great spot with A-Bays Island Grill. There aren't many restaurants serving breakfast in this area so we were glad to find this restaurant.

Delicious food and very helpful staff. The food is tasty, with just the right amount of seasoning for those craving tropical cuisine, where flavor is valued over over-seasoning. Oh, and the place is beautiful.
I hope to return sometime ☺️

This is one of the popular spots in the area because it’s one of the only restaurants in the area. The poke was absolutely delicious but I felt that it needs two more wonton chips! The chips were perfect with the poke but just not enough. The shrimp egg rolls were crazy good!! Highly recommend those! The mustard sauce could be removed from the plate and I wouldn’t be mad though. Didn’t pair well with the rolls in my opinion but to each their own.

The Korean bbq mixed plate was decent. The fried Korean chicken it came with was TERRIBLE!!!! It was fried skin basically but was supposedly chicken thigh. There was no thigh to be found. It was just a sodium packed fried piece of skin. The beef alongside it was good though.

The desserts were both super rich and mouth watering leaving me wanting more!! The cheesecake had a nice thick crumbly crust and the sauce was paired very well with it. Lots of flavor! The lava cake and ice cream were similar to any lava cake at most restaurants but good nonetheless.

Here is why this place is NOT recommended based on our experience:
1. The tuna burger we ordered was so bad, my wife had a bite and was like hell no! We asked the server to replace it she said she’ll have to ask the manager, came back with a 50% solution where we have to pay 50% of the uneaten burger.
2. Food was so late, we ordered and waited for a very long time. So please go there BEFORE you’re hungry not after.
3. They were so eager about the check. When we agreed to pay for the replacement burger they were so eager to serve us the check even before the burger was delivered. VERY WEIRD

My boyfriend and I were there last night. As soon as we got there this Indian guy OBGYN apparently, (not that his profession or ethnicity matters) asked me if I was there with my “sugar daddy” right off the bat, our first interaction with anyone there was already bad.
We were hanging out and decided to have a cigarette at the side of the building and this local Hawaiian guy out of the blue called my boyfriend a racial slur. I got very upset at this, since we gave no reason to merit this treatment. Specially because this beautiful island isn’t our home, we conduct ourselves with the out most respect towards other people. My experience here was that most locals were very nice but the few mean ones ruined our night. Beware if you visit, that some persons are hostile towards visitors!

Best Ono fish tacos and great beer selection on tap.

TJ was the best! Coconut syrup with pancakes or French toast is the way to go!

Terribly slow service, waited an hour for the food. And we weren’t the only ones waiting that long. Food was average at best, and some seemed to have been sitting in the back as they came out cold.
