My husband and I had dinner here during our vacation. We both ordered the pesto pasta with chicken which was very yummy! Came with garlic bread that reminded us of Texas toast. Bruschetta was really delicious for appetizers - tomatoes were so fresh and sweet, it was perfect. Beers were ok. Service was great and we got our food quickly. Walked around the shops afterwards, overall good experience.

Frozen Ono overcooked and under seasoned, Cajun fries, undercooked and over salted. I counted 10 French fries, tartar sauce tasted like mayo, coleslaw, strange flavor. Martinis and Bartender were good! I will try again sometime later.

Food and service not up to even an average standard. Overcooked ribs, very small fish and chips portions, way overpriced.

Ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, ahi spicy srie fry. Everything was beyond delicious, pure heaven with each bite. Service is top notch, the place is so clean. Very welcoming environment. We will be back again for another dinner.

Been getting the same thing for years.. I leave for 8 months and they messed up the firecracker chicken wings weird smell, coating, and flavor. So sad.

Happened upon this gem by chance, will go here every time I visit The Big Island! Had the ribs...falling off the bone melt in your mouth, and the soecial fresh catch of the day, sesame seared swordfish. 100% recommend! And the Boquet martini, mmm!

Husband chose Foster’s for his 80th birthday dinner tonight. We waited a long time to be served water. Same wait person eventually returned to take drink and food order and was fairly friendly. We ordered appetizer, 3 meals, a dessert, 3 drinks plus a coffee all at the same time. My wine was brought by a different person. Then our food was brought in 2 trips by a different person and I told that server we still needed drinks. Our original wait person still hadn’t brought our 4 drinks but was waiting on tables all around us. Every time she greeted new tables, took orders, or brought peoples’ drinks or bills I assumed she’d then return with our drinks or at least turn around so I could signal her. That didn’t happen, so when she was bringing drinks to nearby people who came in after us I called out “ma’am, ma’am” until she looked over at us. I said “we still need drinks” and she asked what they were! She made several more trips to tables around us but no drinks to us. As she sauntered past after a few more times I waved and said “you-hoo” as she passed by and she said “yoo-hoo” back but kept going. I finally got her attention as she waited nearby tables and reminded her of our special needs son’s 2 drinks. After several more tables were waited on she eventually brought his 2 drinks, but still none for my husband. I flagged her down again asking for his iced tea and said it was his 80th birthday. She wished him happy birthday but still no tea. It took multiple trips past us before she delivered the tea. By then we had finished our meal and our son was ready for his pre-ordered dessert, but she never returned to see if we were ok or needed anything. We watched her bring the checks to several tables of people who came in after us and were already done. As she passed with her back to us I called out “cheesecake.” Without turning she snipped “it’s coming.” But she passed through multiple again times w/o it, taking new orders and checking out other people. As she turned away and walked past us yet again I said “cheesecake” to her back. Without turning she echoed back “stop yelling at me please” and kept going. We waited at least another 10 min with her coming and going nearby but no cheesecake. She finally brought it, sat it down in front of my husband instead of our son, and said nothing. I moved it to my son and she said nothing. Then we waited another long while for the bill, which she stood in silence after laying the machine on the table. She would have gotten a really good tip but with all the repeated reminders and rudeness we started deducting. My husband still generously gave her close to 15%, which is a lot more than I recommended. She asked our son “is it good?” then asked husband if we wanted a receipt. When he said “no” she took her machine, turned and walked away without a word. That was our 2nd and last time to go to Fosters Kitchen because of her ignoring us. We were there at least 2 hrs for a straight-forward meal. The food was ok.

We were in the mood for something casual and walked over for dinner on a Wednesday night (we were staying at the Marriott across the street). They had a large patio but it was still a little warm so we opted to sit inside at the bar. They had a good cocktail menu with a wide variety of options and their food menu offered a good mixture of dishes. The bartender was very friendly and made a great Mai Tai! My wife ordered the small Garden Salad and I got the Candied Bacon Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich had good flavor and my wife mentioned she enjoyed her salad. It was a quick dinner but we enjoyed our time there.
