Lagoon Grill

It's your typical overpriced poolside grill at a resort. However, this is the highest resort my husband and I have ever stayed at where the prices are so obscene at all of there restaurants. I guess because there's not much to eat around there. They have you. Especially by the pool and beach because there is nothing else to eat in that area . I had the cheese burger. Nothing special but not terrible .My husband had ordered the hotdog. He did not care for it. It's not a normal hotdog. It's some kind of weird sausage meat. He took one bite and asked if he could order something else. He did not want our money back. He just wanted to order something else and the manager said no. So that was $22 wasted. The servers are nice there and attentive. Just dont expect anything great food wise. I highly recommend going to the Walmart that is about 12 minutes away. If you are not renting a car, a shuttle will take you there . I recommend stocking up on food and drinks as you will have a small refrigerator in your room and a small microwave is on every floor.

Lagoon burger

We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village during our week-long trip to Hawaii, and we had such a great time!

It’s located right next to Dolphin Quest, so if you position yourself accordingly, you can watch the dolphins swim while you eat!

Our favorite dishes were the poke nachos, the kimchi burger, and the fruit plate. And our top beverages were the lava flow and the pele’s keiki (virgin lava flow). I got the fruit platter which comes with banana bread and was surprisingly filling! The fruit was fresh, sweet, and refreshing! And the lava flow and pele’s keiki drinks taste just like a strawberry piña colada. So yummy!

Overall review of Lagoon Grill located at Hilton Waikoloa Village within the resort. Excellent atmosphere and location right next to the Dolphin Quest and Lagoon swimming area. Plenty of seating where you can eat at and be served dine-in style or you can order takeout at the bar. Ate here twice and service is amazing and quick! From ordering to eating was about 5 minutes and the amount of food did not matter. Food temperature was hot and everything seemed fresh. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful with all questions. The prices are steep, but it is great food at a great resort. When coming to the big island, I will for sure be staying here and enjoying the food this place has to provide ??

Great food but stay away from Dulce. She ignored us for 30 minutes and really rude when we said something. She went away and I saw her talking to her coworkers and shaking her head at us. We didn’t say any complaints until after the rude behavior. Don’t work with tourists if you don’t like them. The food is great though. The fresh spring rolls are amazing.

I saw a lot of bad reviews so I was hesitating about eating here. Yes, the food is expensive (it’s inside a resort) you can’t expect it to be cheap. It’s a small menus because it’s a “lagoon grill” not a restaurant. The service was great. The food was better than most resorts/casino pools I’ve been to.

The first day the burgers were hot and juicy. The second day they were just warm and dry

Buns were not warm

Yummy burgers, fries and tacos. Love how we were able to see the dolphins play and also the lake nearby. Obviously overpriced because we are at a resort but other than that I would recommend this place. Probably the best at this resort. Fish and chips come in small portions with a ton of fries. Tacos come with only two but they are decent size. Burgers are huge.

Pretty unfriendly staff [maybe it was because they noticed I’m gay] but I got a horrible energy from the bartenders who barely acknowledged me and acted as if I was bothering them. Avoid this place , all other restaurants nearby are way better with food flavor and drink size / alcohol amount. I asked if it’d be possible to get a little bit more alcohol in my drink, they said I’d need to order again and ask for a double [double the price] for an extra shot. I also ordered the same drink twice, one time they charged me $20 and then $26 FOR RHE SAME DRINK!

Best food on the pool you can get here. We had burgers (vegetarian and beef) and fries (regular and sweet potatoes). Not spectacular but kind of what you would expect at a pool bar in a resort and not bad at all, so would come here again.

Food doesn't have much flavor, ordered a burger came out really fast and the meat patty was not freshly cooked. Wife's tuna melt was mediocre. Fries were not fresh either and the place was busy so they obviously cook the food in bulk. Not worth the price they charge for food. Also, they close at 5 so forget having a sunset drink or bite to eat. Doesn't make sense to close at 5.

Yes it's not cheap but you are dining next to dolphins... food is quick and good. kind staff. It was totally worth it for me and my family.
