TASTED LIKE KETCHUP. Service was top notch, server was great, location perfect, vibe fun, kid friendly, live music, highly recommend, drinks and food as a whole was great. But we are from Texas and I tried those ribs and the sauce tasted like ketchup. It's a mixture but you couldn't ignore the ketchupy taste. I sent it back. Got the pineapple fried rice and it was good. Rest of the food was good. Cocktails good. Again, server, manager, no hesitation, service recovery was 110%. But you need to have your executive chef check that sauce guys...
Amazing ambiance, food and drinks, I’m glad we didn’t skip this place, the service was great too, we had the guava ribs, the Mahi Mahi with macadamia crust and burger, everything was so delicious, I can’t wait to go back and try it again, this place is a must!!
Live music too, we visit on a Sunday, make sure to make a reservation, I didn’t do it.
Beautiful peaceful place. A piece of Heaven on earth. In love with it.
Service was great…. However, I have a gluten allergy (which has never been an issue at a restaurant before) and was told a menu item was gluten free. The waitress completely lied to me as I am now in the most horrible pain I have ever experienced not realizing until later on that I was glutened at the restaurant. I am very disappointed in their service and them being so confident in a meal being gluten free. I am very sick and will be feeling this way for weeks now. Please don’t come here if you have allergies, they don’t listen!
Drinks are amazing and views are spectacular
This restaurant was extremely disappointing. We arrived at 7:45 for our 8pm reservation, had to wait until exactly 8pm. Then we finally sit and we don’t see our waitress until 8:25pm for any greeting/waters/etc.
I ended up ordering at 8:25 when she came by. We waited until 9:15 for our food and ended up just leaving.
Our waitress avoided our table like the plague and never really checked on us at all.
The manager did handle our check (appetizer and coke) and apologized, but still ruined our night.
Sat at the bar and had the Hook, line, and sinker. Excellent civiche and all around awesome dish. Great bartenders and service. The sunset wasnt half bad!
Amazing food 😋
Review for celiac: We ate here with our daughters (9, 12), one who has celiac. The server was very attentive, they made her an adult burger with no bun, cooked separately and safely. We watched a lovely sunset and all enjoyed our meal. Food was decent, not excellent. But we came here for a celiac friendly meal and the ambience. Bonus points because we were able to basically walk in (1 hour wait ended up being 20 mins) for a sunset dinner.
This restaurant has amazing sunset views and the food was delicious !!! Definitely a must go, but book a table ahead of time. We had the best seat in the house for the best show in earth - sunset.
Restaurantji Recommends
The beachfront location is amazing at sunset!
But the food was very mediocre and bland and overpriced. Service was very slow and that was after a 1.5 hour wait.
Would recommend just coming here to watch the sunset and maybe grab a drink at their mini bar (which has no wait).
Great food, beautiful views, wonderful entertainment. Our waitress was awesome. She went above and beyond to make sure my dinner had no onions, do to my allergies.
If your looking for a beautiful sunset this is the place.
ok food, not anything special and not worth the price for sure. wouldn’t recommend… the place is only good for views
The ribs were so dry I had to send them back and order something else. I ended up getting the Farm-to-Table dish (I think 🤔) and added coconut shrimp for protein. They only gave me three shrimp, and honestly, the meal was filling enough without it. If I came back, I’d skip adding the protein.
The real highlight? That sunset was absolutely stunning. 🌅
Lava Lava Beach Club is a must-visit on the Big Island! The food was fantastic, the drinks were the best we had in town, and there’s nothing better than dining with your toes in the sand while overlooking the ocean.
Their famous mango salsa was so good we’d come back the same day just for another order. Add in the beautiful sunsets, beachfront seating, and laid-back Hawaiian atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why this place is so popular.
A perfect spot for lunch, dinner, or sunset cocktails. We’ll definitely be back!
