We were out on a walk and wandered through the Hilton on our way back (we were staying at a nearby condo) when we stumbled upon Nui Italian. It smelled amazing and looked worth a stop, so we popped in and ordered salads and a pizza for an early dinner—late for us, considering we’re still on East Coast time… yum!

The salads were fresh, and the service was spot-on. The pizza? Pretty good! Not the “OMG best pizza ever,” but let’s be honest—you’re in Hawaii. You’re not there to hunt down world-class pizza. You’re there for the Pacific Ocean and everything it has to offer.

That said, you’ve gotta love these little spots that fill your belly in between all the adventuring.

Drinks, meals and service were great. Plus a view of the sunset makes the evening special.

I had the spaghetti and Polpette. Husband had chicken parmasan with spaghetti. Both dishes, meat and pasta were super salty. Two tables over, someone was feeding a feral cat.

It was a special occasion, my husbands birthday. We were disappointed in the casualness of the dining room, no table cloths nor candles. Neither of our meals represented good Italian cooking. They were very pricey meals that were barely edible. I would not recommend this restaurant which is sad because the hotel is very classy.

From the moment we walked in - exceptional. The focaccia bread is to die for. Thick and absolutley wonderful. The pumpkin ravioli is top notch and the chicken Parmesan equally as good. Great service. Yummy gelato

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Shannon anticipated what we needed before we had a chance to ask for it! Lovely setting.

Best meal we had on the resort. Ate here twice. The pizza (Roman style) is light and packed with flavor. Not as filling as traditional pizzas back home. The carbonara while good, lacked flavor and I wouldn’t recommend at that price.

Amazing Pizza!! Best on Island hands down. Moved here from San Francisco and better than some of the pizza places in Cali. I'm obsessed with focaccia bread and they make the best crust EVER!! 5 star across the board

Celebrated two birthdays! Food was amazing and service was excellent. A real treat on our last night!

For a resort Italian restaurant the food was high quality and delicious. Go if you are here.

I went to NUI twice many years and it was awesome. New location and new menu is a disaster. Went from a nice fine dining place to a regular cafeteria. Place was loud. Food marginal and overpriced. Staff was nice but ambiance compared to what it was several years ago was terrible. From what it was before this is a disaster. Brad cotton 7604429048

Outstanding service and excellent ambiance. Food was a little overcooked and dry but still tasty. Not many other options at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. The pizza though is excellent!

Risotto side was great. Veal dish underwhelmed. Focaccia appt was very good and sizeable. Olive oil cake was dry but tasty. Service and setting were great.

We visited for the special Cena in Rosa dinner, which was exceptional. Sheryl and her teammate provided excellent service. The restaurant is situated with beautiful views of the Hilton Waikoloa Village property. We look forward to returning when we are back on the Big Island again. Mahalo!
