Pueo's Osteria

We had a wonderful evening and Courtney was awesome! We moved to a booth which made our experience much better than the table we were first seated at. The food was amazing. Service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

For some reason this time, it was so loud / we were seated on the right side wall on the lanai and for some reason the conversation in the room was amplified to the extent that we couldn't hear each other talk so we ate fast and left...not good

My wife and I dine at Pueo's weekly. Pueo's consistently offers the island's best Italian food. The dishes are always creative, tasty and beautifully presented. The service is always outstanding. Last night we both ordered the prime rib special. We understand that it was the owner's beautiful daughter's idea to offer this first-time special. Based on the restaurants occupancy last night, this special was a hit! Since there no longer is a steak house on the Big Island, hopefully the prime rib special will become a regular item.

A busy Sunday night. Staffing was limited. Long periods waiting for service. Will try again when we return during the summer months.

Pueo's Osteria is the best Italian restaurant on the island, imho. Being transplants from New Jersey, we love their authentic Italian food, especially the veal parmigiana. The ambiance and service are always excellent. You won't be disappointed!

Pueo's is an absolute gem! The food is incredible—authentic Italian with bold, fresh flavors that truly impressed us. The service was warm and attentive, we ordered veal parm & veal milanese and both were divine, perfectly paired with a thoughtful selection of wine. The portions were insane! And Darcy went over and above providing service and surprised us with 2 cannoli's for a birthday! This is a must-visit local spot on the Kohala Coast. Make a reservation and go—you won't be disappointed!

Pueo's never disappoints. From appetizer to dessert the food was amazing. The service was excellent. This is our favorite Italian restaurant.

Very delicious Italian cuisine! The atmosphere is more like a warm restaurant than a high-end Italian restaurant. The meals are delicious and the service is just right without being overly intrusive. Recommended!

My wife and I are revisiting the big Island after 16 years. My wife and I were born in Italy, so we know italian food. We went to Pueo's Osteria and If you love real Italian food this is the place. I ordered the Pappardelle in Ragu' sauce and my wife ordered the Veal Parmigiana. They were both impeccable quality. The sauce on my Pappardelle was like we make at home. We make homemade Bolognese Sauce from tomatoes sauce of our own tomatoes. (Incredible!). My wife's veal was (real veal) not beef top round. So if you appreciate (real Italian food). Look no further unless you take a trip to Italy. The service was great also, Gregg was very attentive and very friendly. Ciao

The food is always fresh and tasty. You can taste the difference from generic restaurant fair. Everything tastes very authentic. The price is very reasonable compared to many of the surrounding high end restaurants. Put this on your list for many repeat visits

Brussel sprouts could have been better. Kale salad was really good! My fiancé really like the eggplant parm and I got the vegetarian vodka pasta. Super fresh. Tiramisu was yummy. Great views of the sunset.
