I can’t rave enough about Pueo’s Osteria! When you’re on vacation, the last thing you want is to worry about getting sick, and this restaurant takes gluten-free dining very seriously. Almost any dish can be modified, and they even have a separate kitchen prep area.

I had the veal Parmesan, and it was absolutely delicious. My friend, who is also gluten-free, ordered the fresh catch, and it was amazing as well. We even considered taking a pizza back with us, but decided that just gives us another reason to come back before we leave!

Our server, Courtney, was knowledgeable, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. And be sure to save room for the chocolate torte, it was the perfect way to finish the meal!

Highly rated, but the food struck me as just slightly above average. Part of that may have been our server, who wasn’t particularly helpful when it came to guiding our choices. That said, service was quick and the staff were genuinely friendly. The place does pull off a nice Italian vibe in the middle of Hawaii.

This little Italian restaurant was fantastic! My husband ordered the pizza and said the crust and toppings were perfect! I have a gluten allergy and they were able to make the pollo alla Milanese gluten free and it was absolutely delicious!! They even had a gluten free chocolate torte with fabulous pistachio ice cream for dessert which paired beautifully! I highly recommend!

This Italian establishment is a remarkable, secluded discovery away from the more bustling areas of Kona. It’s located 10 min drive from Waikoloa beach resorts. It operates as a true hidden gem, offering an elevated dining experience that evokes the sophisticated ambiance of downtown San Francisco. It easily ranks among the premier culinary destinations on the Big Island.
The kitchen's commitment to authentic, high-quality ingredient sourcing stands in refreshing contrast to standard resort dining. For those seeking a refined alternative to the ubiquitous local fare and the conventional options often found at nearby resort complexes like the Kings' and Queens' marketplaces, this restaurant provides a highly welcome departure.
The only area for potential enhancement would be the expansion of their premium wine selection. A more robust, high-end wine list would beautifully complement the authentic Italian menu and further elevate an already exceptional dining experience.Salute

We arrived at 4:30pm for the Early Bird Special seating at the bar. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating! There was two menus to choose from a very large selection. I had Chicken Parmigiano served with a side of pasta. My sister had the eggplant parm. Both dishes were delicious . The portions were plentiful. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The bartender was doing a excellent job and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing.
We will definitely be back!

The girl at the check in counter has such a bad face and such unfriendly welcome vibe, echo with what posted in the recent week, I think everyone feels. The table server is much better than her. Don’t know why she is there, come on, you are the one who sees the customers first.

Delicious dinner. Took 1 star off because the server wasn't particularly friendly.

Amazing food and people. We have been coming here as a family for over 10 years whenever we visit the island . Wonderful food, great service, especially by our server Calvin and perfect ambience. The owners Jim and Christine are amazing humans, with warm hearts who make you feel right at home the second you enter. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Chef Jim- Pops from SoCal says thank you again.

I always enjoy supporting local, non-chain restaurants, which is why I was excited to give this place a try. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience and, in my opinion, only deserves 1 star.

From the moment we walked in, the service felt cold and unwelcoming. When I asked for a table for five, there was no greeting or friendly welcome. Instead, the host immediately asked if we had a reservation, scowled, and walked away. After we were seated, the menus were tossed onto the table, and my daughter's owl coloring sheet was simply thrown in front of her rather than handed to her. It gave us the impression that we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests.

The food was mediocre at best—comparable to a chain restaurant like Olive Garden—but at significantly higher prices. For the quality of the food and the level of service, the prices were difficult to justify.

I genuinely wanted to enjoy this restaurant because I love supporting local businesses, but based on our experience, this is one I'd recommend skipping.

I was really excited to try this place, but the pasta dishes we received were very bland. The vodka pasta sauce tasted very watery - though the pasta itself was cooked well. Staff were lovely

Five stars. I think the highlight of my visit was a drink I had, which was prepared by a nice young man named Remi.

I watched him prepare the drink and I was dazzled and then I drank the drink and I was BEDAZZLED because it was so fantastic and for an old grown twink at heart that’s saying something.

Also, I forgot to leave a tip. I am sorry for that. Please take my mind tip from the mainland USA my friends and a special thanks to my lil remi barboy.
