Dined here 2 decades ago and food still stands out above the rest. Restaurant could use a makeover sooner than later. Service was OK - food came out at different times and at times slow. However nothing moves fast in the area when everyone is on Island Time. Meals were all great

The fact that they accommodated a party of ten on short notice tells you everything you need to know about this place. The staff was exceptional and the food was outstanding. Every detail of our experience was handled beautifully. This is exactly what a great restaurant looks like. Cannot recommend enough.

We love all the Roy’s locations! And this one was also outstanding. Service is always impeccable, and the food is delicious. After finishing off the complimentary edamame, definitely get the rib appetizer to start, and then any of their fish dishes are guaranteed to be good. This time I got the Huli Huli chicken which was so flavorful and came with kimchi and fried rice. The cocktails/mocktails and desserts are also worth saving room for. Plus, they gave us a complimentary dessert for our special occasion with a heartfelt congratulations. When we left, the chefs all waved and thanked us. We had such an amazing time.

Excellent service and cuisine. A must try is the butterfish and the chocolate soufflé for dessert. My favorite restaurant!

One of my must goes when visiting the Big Island. Food is always good.

The food was locked in super solid delicious. Our waiter was a tad forgetful… but he was slammed. The host was spot on AWESOME. But back to the food. The meatloaf - yes, I said meatloaf, does not disappoint.

We had reservations and didn't have to wait for a table. The wait staff and hostess (Amelia) was very friendly and accommodating. The crusted mahi with lobster sauce, braised short rib with grilled shrimp, and miso butterfish were excellent. The lava cake and pineapple upside down cake were good too.

Roy's was excellent. Kid's menu is the best. We had two fish entrees, one pork shank and one short rib. All were delicious. Highly recommend.

Food is top notch. Every time we have been there it has been excellent. Sometimes can be a little noisy depending on who else is there.

We have a nut allergy and a gluten allergy. The menu is NOT clearly marked and our server was NOT knowledgeable. We were able to find a very nice manager to help us navigate the menu and they were willing to cook a plain piece of fish and vegetables. But, beware, we were told by server many items were gluten free that were in fact, not. Just be an advocate for yourself and be prepared to wait. Appreciate the diligence to make sure a piece of fish and veggies were safe. 2 hour dinner. Food was delicious.
