Great view of the Maui sunset with live ukulele music, tiki torches and very tasty food. The carrot and banana curry was very nice as a vegetarian meal. It was my birthday. I noted that on my reservation and they surprised me with a very generous bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce with a flower and candle garnish. I asked the sweet waiter how she knew and she said she noticed it on my file. This never happened to me on any other birthday reservation on this app so I was delighted....
Poolside cafe with a couple of vegetarian options. The vermicelli salad is mostly vermicelli and is served cold; next time I'll try the kula root salad which looked delicious.
Menu was basic, nothing stood out as unusual, local or particularly flavorful. Pretty basic for the price, even in Maui. For example, “local” ceviche was shrimp ceviche, featured fish was mahi mahi, which is fine I guess in most places but a let down when you're in Hawaii. Expensive cocktails at $23 ea. Servers were nice but didn't consider our reservation request until we arrived, which was too late. Pretty views. Not bad for a poolside bar, but I will look elsewhere...
