“This is helpful when you are in a pinch but you pay for the convenience. To go food is disappointing compared to other nearby options. Don't order the boneless ribs, it's actually 2 strips of flank steak reheated on a flat top, not the same thing! Sushi Shiono makes good grab n go sushi and the Wine bar has some great options, for late night too.”

“Wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a delicious vegan dinner crafted by Ka'ana chefs, and we could not be happier.Valet parking and a prestigious location were impressive. The large winding staircase brought us to the entrance of Ka'ana Kitchen where an aloha welcome made us feel we were in the right place.Our reservations had us seated outside the restaurant on the terrace, overlooking the ocean and palm trees in the distance. From that select location we gradually watched the sun makes its way down for a glorious sunset.Attentive wait staff helped us craft vegan appetizers, entrees, and dessert that were simply more amazing than we had expected. Thanks Phil for a great job serving us. Thanks also Dave for your suggestions.The wait staff took our pictures on several occasions. “Wife and I went here for dinner on a Friday night after seeing the reviews about their gluten free menu (and I'm vegetarian). We made reservations which I would suggest.Food was delicious. My wife had the Bolognese which was one of the best she ever had and they converted the daily special gnocchi to vegetarian for me. It was quite good, and so was the small Caesar. I got. The wait staff was attentive and good, answering all our questions.The space is fairly cramped and on a Friday it's definitely on the noisy side inside.For dessert my wife was delighted that there were 3 gluten free desert options. I had the coconut cannoli which was an interesting twist.Vegetarian options: Large number of vegetarian dishes or dishes that can be converted to vegetarian, clearly marked on the menu.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for their pasta for a small upcharge.”

The sushi chef is superb and the whole atmosphere here was joyful and welcoming. A must try... the Ube Creme Brulee. The plating and presentation are great, however the flavor(s) seem to be missing. I can't quite put my finger on it. The best I can summarize is that the flavors seemed fresh but very simple. “Great donut place. Each donut is handmade and freshly fried per order. I highly recommend any of the maple donuts. The owner was super nice and explained the history of the business while making the donuts. Location could be better, but it is worth stopping by the parking lot to get a unique and delicious treat. ItsI'd avoid the coffee as it was just a Keurig machine.”

“The best, period.We’ve been going here for 4 years ever since getting a tip from a local. All praises to sing, no complaints. Everything is caught the day of, so it’s incredibly fresh. My friend who normally hates tuna will only eat tuna from the South Maui Fish Company. Our cocktails were very good and the dessert we shared was great once we let the flames go out (cool presentation). This is our third trip to Maui and this is the best meal we have ever had by a mile.”

“Fabulous experience. We are not adventurous diners so the Chefs Table experience really stretched our comfort zones. That being said, we will definitely return. It is very expensive at $194 per person so probably would not go with large group or family. Still a great experience with attentive chef, waiter and other chefs. “Monkeypod Kitchen was amazing. From the hostesses to the bartenders to the servers, everyone was on their A game. We eat out a lot and service for us is the difference between good and great. The food was amazing as to be expected. But the service was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable. First class.”

“My family and I came here after a different restaurant was closed and I cannot suggest this place enough. The burger was VERY delicious and the fries was some of the best fries I've ever had. We got to speak to Shaun one of owners and I'm glad we did! He told us a little bit about how the burgers are made and the amount of effort and love that goes into the food speaks volumes. 100% must try!”

“Sweet Hula is the only place I ate more than once while in Maui. To be honest, we didn't try the açaí bowls because we were intrigued by the matcha and blue magik (coconut and pineapple) bowls. Both were loaded with fresh fruit and granola and were delicious and filling. We also tried the Brazilian cheese bread and it was definitely worth the 15 minute wait while it cooked. The service was helpful and kind and they remembered me when I came back. Seating is outside on picnic tables as this is a food truck but there is plenty of room and they keep it clean. I highly recommend Sweet Hula to all!”

“Top 3 lifetime burrito doesn’t have beans or rice! The Asada burrito was an astounding vegan revelation for what a plant-based version could be. Gigantic, delicious, dare I say meaty. Tortilla expertly grilled for that perfect bit of flakiness.
