“One of the better walkable resorts from grand wailea. They do slices for happy hour but they are fairly small. Great atmosphere for dinner. Wife is gluten free and she enjoyed her salad.”
“We found the food and drinks are superb. The Ahi Poke is sublime. Our favorite complex drink is the Upcountry Buck. Spicy rum based drink. The service is the best. You couldn't give a higher recreation.”
“This is helpful when you are in a pinch but you pay for the convenience. To go food is disappointing compared to other nearby options. Don't order the boneless ribs, it's actually 2 strips of flank steak reheated on a flat top, not the same thing! Sushi Shiono makes good grab n go sushi and the Wine bar has some great options, for late night too.”
“Wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a delicious vegan dinner crafted by Ka'ana chefs, and we could not be happier.Valet parking and a prestigious location were impressive. The large winding staircase brought us to the entrance of Ka'ana Kitchen where an aloha welcome made us feel we were in the right place. Our reservations had us seated outside the restaurant on the terrace, overlooking the ocean and palm trees in the distance. From that select location we gradually watched the sun makes its way down for a glorious sunset.Attentive wait staff helped us craft vegan appetizers, entrees, and dessert that were simply more amazing than we had expected. Thanks Phil for a great job serving us. Thanks also Dave for your suggestions. The wait staff took our pictures on several occasions. Needless to say it was a win for us on our 50th and we look forward to going back.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu that can be made vegan, or chefs can craft special requests.”
“Wife and I went here for dinner on a Friday night after seeing the reviews about their gluten free menu (and I'm vegetarian). We made reservations which I would suggest.Food was delicious. My wife had the Bolognese which was one of the best she ever had and they converted the daily special gnocchi to vegetarian for me. It was quite good, and so was the small Caesar. I got. The wait staff was attentive and good, answering all our questions. The space is fairly cramped and on a Friday it's definitely on the noisy side inside. For dessert my wife was delighted that there were 3 gluten free desert options. I had the coconut cannoli which was an interesting twist.Vegetarian options: Large number of vegetarian dishes or dishes that can be converted to vegetarian, clearly marked on the menu.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for their pasta for a small upcharge.”
“Phenomenal! Pork belly Bao buns, udon with crispy pork belly, and the shrimp sliders were all incredible. Everything is made fresh to order, and we ate every last morsel! Highly recommend!”
“Sat outside which was just ok. Good was good, but not excellent. We had the vegan dishes which were good, but over salted.Server was good spirited and made good recommendations.Maybe the inside has better ambiance, we just didn't see it.”
“We enjoyed this restaurant very much. With a party of 17 it can be a challenge to serve so many efficiently. The staff excelled at their jobs serving delicious plates quickly with Aloha. The sushi chef is superb and the whole atmosphere here was joyful and welcoming. A must try... the Ube Creme Brulee. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend others to give it a try too!”
“I'm still craving the Tacos! Everything was delicious, fresh, and hot. So many options, it was hard to choose only one item. Employees were friendly and welcoming. A tad salty but still amazing! Highly recommend!”
“The area in which this food truck is located is beautiful, plenty of spaced out seating amongst the trees and potted plants. The price is a bit steep for what you get. The plating and presentation are great, however the flavor(s) seem to be missing. I can't quite put my finger on it. The best I can summarize is that the flavors seemed fresh but very simple. Wife loved it, me, not so much.”
“Our family loves eating at MisoPhat when visiting Maui, and was there 3 times during a recent vacation. The food is delicious and the service is great. Niko is our favorite!”
“If I could eat here every morning I would! The French toast is incredible! We were in Maui for 5 days and went here twice during our stay because we could not get enough”
“Got the little piggy, bao chicken bao bao and tots. All delicious. I loved the atmosphere but my kids weren't fans of all the chickens walking around under the tables.”
“Whether you’re visiting, taking family to see the sites, or looking for a beautiful place for a get together- Maui wine is perfect! Amazing unique wine and dining options - Crisp up country air, horses in the distance, incredible view of the island- it’s a must experience on Maui!”
“Great donut place. Each donut is handmade and freshly fried per order. I highly recommend any of the maple donuts. The owner was super nice and explained the history of the business while making the donuts. Location could be better, but it is worth stopping by the parking lot to get a unique and delicious treat. ItsI'd avoid the coffee as it was just a Keurig machine.”
“The best, period. We’ve been going here for 4 years ever since getting a tip from a local. All praises to sing, no complaints. Everything is caught the day of, so it’s incredibly fresh. My friend who normally hates tuna will only eat tuna from the South Maui Fish Company. It’s just incredible food.If you don’t know whether to choose between the traditional and spicy, get half and half! Thanks to Leyla (hopefully I spelled your name right) for helping us out!”
“Delicious food with great service! The manager and staff helped to make a very memorable experience for a 15 year old's birthday. Extra special kudos to Pizza Guy! Mahalo Black Rock Pizza staff!”
“The is our new “go to” spot for fresh sushi on Maui. Great menu, cocktails and excellent service. We have been many times this season and have not been disappointed. Mahalo to the OAO team! ?”
“Absolutely delicious Thai cuisine! This restaurant exceeded all expectations with its authentic flavors and cozy ambiance. The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who provided helpful recommendations. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to return!”
“Argentinean Hawaiian fusion? Yes please. Did not know I was looking for this mash up, but certainly glad it was found. The fantastic salad the sandwich came with was more vegetables than I've eaten all week so thank you for that. Got the aloha choripan and it was fantastic. Great hawaiian flavor on a traditional sandwich. Ingredients all around were really bright and fresh.”
“Fine dining level service and amazing food. The short rib appetizer is excellent. All of our entrees were perfect. This place is clearly VERY well run and I know from experience. Our cocktails were very good and the dessert we shared was great once we let the flames go out (cool presentation). This is our third trip to Maui and this is the best meal we have ever had by a mile.”
“Fabulous experience. We are not adventurous diners so the Chefs Table experience really stretched our comfort zones. That being said, we will definitely return. It is very expensive at $194 per person so probably would not go with large group or family. Still a great experience with attentive chef, waiter and other chefs. All did a great job of explaining the different courses ( there were 6). Enjoyable experience.”
“This is an excellent little Korean spot you'll certainly miss if you aren't looking for it. Nestled in a quiet shopping plaza, the it's worth searching out. The (I assume) owner was really great with the customers in front of us and with us making sure people knew what to order. The kimbap size is impressive! Worth it and great flavor.”
“A great coffee truck within a larger collection of food trucks. Very friendly service! Lots of great drink selections. The coffee had great flavor and was not overly sweet. My mocha was delicious! Great afternoon pick me up!Wheelchair accessibility: The food trucks are parked on large gravel lots. This might make mobility difficult for wheelchairs, tripping concerns, or strollers”
“Monkeypod Kitchen was amazing. From the hostesses to the bartenders to the servers, everyone was on their A game. We eat out a lot and service for us is the difference between good and great. The food was amazing as to be expected. But the service was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable. First class.”
“My family and I came here after a different restaurant was closed and I cannot suggest this place enough. The burger was VERY delicious and the fries was some of the best fries I've ever had. We got to speak to Shaun one of owners and I'm glad we did! He told us a little bit about how the burgers are made and the amount of effort and love that goes into the food speaks volumes. 100% must try!”
“Sweet Hula is the only place I ate more than once while in Maui. To be honest, we didn't try the açaí bowls because we were intrigued by the matcha and blue magik (coconut and pineapple) bowls. Both were loaded with fresh fruit and granola and were delicious and filling. We also tried the Brazilian cheese bread and it was definitely worth the 15 minute wait while it cooked. The service was helpful and kind and they remembered me when I came back. Seating is outside on picnic tables as this is a food truck but there is plenty of room and they keep it clean. I highly recommend Sweet Hula to all!”
“We were there for a birthday dinner. The staff went out of their way to make it a happy one. The Manager checked on us and the food was wonderful. We will certainly go back again. I will suggest Ko to all my friends and family.”
“Top 3 lifetime burrito doesn’t have beans or rice! The Asada burrito was an astounding vegan revelation for what a plant-based version could be. Gigantic, delicious, dare I say meaty. Tortilla expertly grilled for that perfect bit of flakiness. Just go get one !Vegetarian options: All vegan - no dairyDietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: Several good kid sizes options”
“Great roadside food truck above Maluaka and Makena beaches. Cubano wrap is sooo good, hand-dipped chocolate apple bananas - worth the stop. Perfect eat-on-the-beach food! Owner is friendly and helpful with info and always smiling. Highly recommend!”
