About Te Au Moana

Te Au Moana offers an unforgettable experience with a vibrant atmosphere, entertaining performances, and stunning sunset views against an unobstructed beach-front backdrop. The delicious and well-presented food is served family-style, accompanied by engaging entertainment and educational storytelling. Friendly staff and welcoming drinks add to the authentic Hawaiian experience.

The luau is advertised as one of the best in Maui and it delivers. The view of the island of Lanai is a great backdrop. The Haka and the fire dance are the favorites. As a vegetarian, there is a specific vegetarian tofu dish available. The traditional whole pig, slow-cooked underground within the banana leaves, is paraded through the guest seating area. Guests are leid with authentic/traditional fresh flowers, and an open bar is included. The soothing traditional Hawaiian dances, carried out to a live band while dining, are followed by higher energy and tribal war dances, performed by both men and women in traditional island garb. The experience is capped off by the impressive fire dances at the end.

The place has really improved, and the food is really good, with quick options for the kids and strong vegetarian options. The server Christy makes guests feel at home and is very kind and welcoming.

The party was fun , the show was good with really great costumes but I did not find the dances interesting enough. I also think it’s a bit...read full review
The food was incredible- my kids that hate fish loved the poke and the mahi. The pork was excellent. The show was so engaging: we were both entertained and educated about the amazing native Hawaiian culture. The whole family decided this was our favorite part of our trip so far.
Not sure what all can be said about this.

We went to a laua for this as part of a larger time away to celebrate my mom's birthday. The staff was extremely courteous and was well versed on working with multiple different backgrounds and purposes on why folks visited. The dinner was amazing with a lot of great tastes to enjoy. The show was awesome and easy to see from where we were at.

My particular favorite was the sunset though and getting to see it go down from...read full review
