A Saigon Cafe is a hidden gem in Wailuku, offering authentic Vietnamese flavors with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The pho is rich and flavorful, the clay pot dishes are a must-try, and the green papaya salad is perfectly balanced. The owner’s humor adds to the experience, making it more than just a meal. Parking can be tight, and the decor is a bit dated, but the quality of the food and service make up for it. A great spot for locals and visitors looking for a satisfying, homey Vietnamese meal.

I like the flavor of the clay pot but every time I order it, the rice on bottom always ends up burnt. The new pots aren't even clay anymore.

This place has people at every table for good reason. Very good food and friendly folks everywhere. Another gem of wailiku!

Delicious food, highly recommend. The Vietnamese bouillabaise was interesting and had bold flavor. The salmon was the best. Tiger beer was on the menu, but was unfortunately out of stock. Green papaya salad was great, not to spicy and not overly seasoned with fish sauce.

Food was Okay, if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, I won’t recommend this place.

Shaking beef was super solid. The Tofu and Veg looked kinda boring on the menu, but came out looking superb and was a hit as well. We just appreciate a spot that has a dedicated vegetarian portion of the menu, it really helps us feel good about the food being prepared with care.

Will definitely be back next time we are in Maui!

Decent Vietnamese spot. The food was average. The fried shrimp roll was the best. The fish was ok.

Soup was flavorful and came out steaming hot.
