This is the best banana bread I have ever had and I am a freak about banana bread I stop at all the places that sale it . When this lockdown is over with I am flying back just to visit and get me some of Julia's bread.
you can't miss this place. it is a bit difficult to park, but well worth the effort. She is super friendly and talkative. Amazing lilikoi butter as well.
Highly recommend! We got the banana bread and it was worth the drive!
She is world famous for a reason!
You will read phenomenal reviews about this piece of wonderful baking. Well, it’s all true. You have to travel a bit to get it, but this moist cake is worth every effort. Maybe you should buy two cakes. One to eat on the way home and one to eat at home.
Best banana bread ever! Cool little place where they grow their own bananas and taro and make amazing banana bread along with some other little treats and drinks.
We were on a banana bread mission this trip and bought it wherever we could. This one had a number of things for sale but we only had eyes for the bread- and we were not dissapointed, Stayed moist over several days- even a little slab satisfies.
We bought lemonade and banana bread at near the blowhole. Someone said we should buy the banana bread. I'm glad that i listened to them! The best banana bread I've ever had. soft and not too sweet, great balance.
I love this banana bread. Seriously I’m so sad I wasn’t able to get it this time around but it’s worth the drive I promise!! They also have little macadamia shortbread cookies that were addicting. Seriously.
I make lots of banana bread but the two loaves we bought here last month were easily the best banana bread I've ever had. Surprisingly light texture like a cross between an angelfood cake and a traditional banana bread. Julia must have a secret, something like the best bananas and the right amount of wind... My compliments to the chef ! As for the drive - it's good to keep the faint of heart away leaving more for the rest of us.

We grabbed a loaf of Julia's banana bread and some lemonade at the roadside stand near the blowhole and it was, as promised, excellent. On the pricey side, but we weren't scrimping on our lifetime adventure in Maui! The last half of the loaf mysteriously disappeared somewhere between our car and hotel...you might actually want a whole loaf for yourself. I got a laugh out of the seller telling me "these are all female loafs, no nuts!". We completed the drive past Julia's storefront...that route actually gave me pause, and I'm pretty adventurous.
Banana bread is exceptional. The coconut candy is insanely delicious and worth grabbing.
What ever you do don’t miss Julia’s Banana Bread!!! We made about a dozen trips to Julia’s and they were amazing. Get up early so you won’t miss the wonderful, delightful, treats! The valley is gorgeous!
When your on this dangerous highway its easy to go right by just wanting to get the drive finished but its worth it to stop and get the best banana bread in the world here!
Banana bread is good, we stopped at mama lei’s and hers is better - the coconut bites are great and the lemonade is overpriced and didn’t taste that fresh. Pat gave us advise to turn around and made it sound like the counter clock wise direction would prevail another long and scary 2 miles which was about 1/4 mile of the truth. We would stop in again but this is not a slam dunk!
