We happened across Kalei's Lunchbox while googling last minute for a place to eat, and we are so, so glad we did! My husband and my father both got the loco moco, and agreed later on that it was the best one they had on our trip. My mom had the mahi ala kalei and loved it. I had the furikake mochiko chicken and I am STILL thinking of it weeks later. I am not normally that into fried chicken, and it was one of the best meals I had while traveling the islands. Wow! An amazing place to eat! We had an outstanding lunch that was devoured. The staff was courteous and patient. I loved the atmosphere and the casual vibe. This should be a mandatory go to on Maui for delicious food!

While we chose to eat there basically at random, we were more than satisfied with our choice. I got a surf & turf (Philly steak sandwich with shrimp on it), and my wife got the chicken katsu. Both were delicious and the portions were generous... more than enough...
