I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I tried a bite of everything my family got and it was absolutely top notch! That Chantilly cupcake was decadent, just wow! Didn't have much time but when I come back I'm going to try the milk bread. Their spam musubi was the best I've ever had. Also, excellent service - knowledgeable and genuinely cared about the food, the ingredients, the taste, and the presentation.

Such a gem! Read about this patisserie in YOLO journal and it didn’t disappoint. The roll cakes are complex yet simply delicious and what a treat to buy directly from the baker himself. We’ll be back for their bento next!

Shikeda is located in the Main Street Promenade food court in Wailuku, an excellent spot to stop by and pick up a quick and cheap bento or pair of onigiri on your way up to a day in Central (North) Maui.

We stopped here after hiking the Waihe'e Ridge Trail and got their Salmon Zuke bento and Saba (Pacific Mackerel) bento along with a few onigiri/musubi. Their bentos are pre-prepared and sit under their heat lamps next to the counter. They were already sold out of the karaage and pork belly bentos by 1:30 ish so keep that in mind if you were aiming to order those.

If your wallet is aching after too much dining out elsewhere on Maui, a spam musubi and one onigiri will likely satisfy you for a lunch on the go.

I would definitely recommend coming inland if you're here on vacation and get some pastries and hand held foods. We got spam musubi, which was different than anywhere else we had gotten them. It had a sweet glaze and sesame seeds on it. We also got the tempura shrimp roll and it was decent, but wanted the spicy one but they were out of that one. Then we got 2 pastries, 1 was Hokkaido and it was very light and fluffy, but could have used some fruit within the cake itself, but still worth it. The 2nd one we got was mango shortcake. It was also light, fluffy, and delicate, not too sweet, but also could have used a slightly more fruit flavor but still very delicious. They are all definitely worth the price you see, and the drive it took us from our hotel to find it. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Go there and just get what ever is there don't question anything. I had the cupcakes and milk bread buns from here. MAGICAL! My wife is a baker and a harsh critic. She loves both of them! (To the girl working the counter thank you on your recommendations she didn't kill me 😁.) Check it out you will not be disappointed... Unless they run out of everything cause it's that good.

A little hidden inside a food court, but very very good. Had a very tasty pork belly bento and spam musubi for lunch and it really hit the spot. The gentleman who helped me was friendly too. Didn't get to try the pastries but they looked high quality.

We went for dessert and had the Pumpkin Chai Tart, Chocolate Chantilly Cupcake, Hokkaido Cream Cake, Macadamia Mocha Cream Puff, Strawberry Shortcake (my favorite), Lilikoi Toffee Cream Puff(close second), Ube Cream Puff and the Five Spice Gingerbread Cookie is what every gingerbread cookie is trying to be. Everything was incredible and the owners were so friendly and helpful . This is worth the trip to Wailuku!

Amazing pastries! Super friendly staff too. We stopped by this on the way to the airport after spending a week on the island. The only regret is that we didn’t discover this place earlier as we would have come by several time. Don’t miss the ginger cookies.
