Love eating here the food is always spot on, yummy & worth the money. I like how I can order my food & within 5-10 minutes it's finished & cooked & ready to eat. This is in the mini mall area kind of next to the Wailuku Post Office down the road from Maui's Famous Tasty Crust.

I've patronized Wei Wei for years but stopped going because of declining food taste. Decided to give them one last try.ATMOSPHERE:Located in the Millyard industrial area. Plain & simple interior. A/C seems to always be broken.Time for a much needed update as my rating has changed for the better. I actually refrained from coming here after having a horrible cake noodle experience, but have since found a place that does it better. I guess my mom is to credit for my return as she loves ordering a specific dish from here. My craving for Chinese food got the best of me, so I looked at their menu (a pic I posted, thank you very much) and gave them another try.UPDATES:Since my last review, Wei Wei has expanded with a second location called Wei Wei Cafe & Noodle House, oddly close to this original spot (not even a mile away) on Market Street, serving a similar menu. They've also expanded the restaurant, taking over the space next door which more than doubled the dining room's size. But, the a/c is always broken or can't keep up, so it's pretty toasty inside. The majority of orders are takeout so I guess there's no need to rectify the problem?FOOD:Black Bean Sauce Chicken - $12.96I have found my new go-to dish! It was everything I had imagined; chunks of chicken stir fried with veggies (onions, green bell peppers, canned bamboo shoots, white onions, and zucchini) in a savory black bean sauce. While the flavors could be just a bit bolder, it's a really good dish that hit the spot, even for my picky spouse.Ginger Chicken - $12.96The portion size is generous and the chicken fresh, with the perfect amount of salt, topped with a tasty concoction of minced ginger and green onions. Highly recommended.Chicken Chow Mein - $11.95This is a favorite of my mom's. Flat noodles (like fettuccine) topped with a stir fry gravy mixture of broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, and white onions. Subtle flavors but still very good. Portion size is very generous.Kung Pao Chicken - $12.96Oh man, I now have two go-to dishes here! Bold flavors and a bit of heat made this dish a home run for me. Fresh zucchini, crunchy onions and whole peanuts added check marks in the positive column. My only gripe is that it was a bit oily.SERVICE:They actually steer opposite of the stereotypical but quite true style of Chinese places. Friendly and patient is what I observe. Try finding that elsewhere! A hiccup occurred as I phoned in my order though. It took a while for them to answer. Once they did, the lady said she'd be right back, put the phone down (not on hold) and forgot about me as I could hear her talking story to someone. I called back, she apologized and took my order.OVERALL:They may not be the quintessential example of what a Chinese restaurant should be, but hey, it's better than nothing and most of their dishes are pretty legit. A jump in star rating is deserved.

Take out only but they should be up grade their place
A main staple of my childhood, their number one plate for me has to be the Chicken Katsu - their specific sauce they use with it to dip in has to be my favorite compared to others using the stock standard tonkatsu sauce - not sure what it is, but it's sweetness pairs perfectly with the savory chicken katsu- Miguel Morales Photography
Excellent Won Ton Mein!!

Mongolian beef, I was served 1 pound of zucchini, roughly one ounce of beef, I never in my life had Mongolian beef with zucchini, supposed to be beef and green onions, the menu should of said Mongolian zucchini, I called them up and asked them why there is basically zero beef, th menu stated Mongolian “BEEF” when I called just to tell them not looking for anything in return, they basically called me a liar then hung up, it’s sad but that’s the way they want to run there business the doors would be closing soon.

Ordered a pan of noodles, a pan of chicken katsu and a pound of the roast pork at 9am, picked up my order at 11am and ate by 1pm. After picking up our food, I opened the roast pork container (take-out plate type) to steal a piece and a fly came out. Everyone who ate the noodles all got food poisoning later that evening.I honestly think that the noodles must have been from the day before and was already starting to spoil when they sold it to me.Bad, bad, bad!! Never giving them my business again.
Food isn't fresh, service is hilariously indifferent (gotta love teens with jobs). The chicken in my chicken soup was poached blobs and...pork! I definitely didn't want pork. My partner's mixed grill plate was overcooked.
