Yes, we love Bellows. It has been our favorite place on earth since 1972 but why oh why did you cut down so many trees. What a loss! We were there in May and were so sad to see the state of ragged tree trunks everywhere and no shade in which to relax and picnic. Could this not be done gradually with new trees planted on a rotating basis?
It’s an older recreation facility so don’t expect it to compare with more expensive commercial hotels. The beach and other areas are limited to is card holders and their families so you don’t deal with big crowds. Shopette and gas pumps are there along with restrooms and an equipment rental (body boards, goggles, kayaks, etc) that’s far cheaper than off base.
