“The outside of the shop was very dirty, so I hesitated to enter. But inside, two women were preparing food in the kitchen. The display case wasn't very clean, but the tuna I was given as a sample was very fresh and delicious! The tuna they got at the auction in the fish market was amazing.“

“The salty and butter roll is amazing!! So soft and with enough butter for you to taste it.
The hot dog pan is also a must have!

“I might go so far as to say this is the best true takeout restaurant in Kailua. Pretty good selection of Hawaiian fair. Generous portions of ahi, and good selection of tasty grilled beef and chicken. The three skewer special was very filling and I felt a great value for money- I think your average couple could probably share this among themselves.“

“This place is located in only two places apparently 1 in Tokyo,Japan and the other is located in the food court of the Ala Moana outdoor mall in Honolulu,Hawaii this place is fantastic and very reasonably priced for 8oz cubed ribeye and 5 prawns it’s 20$ at least when I was there last year but the ribeye is a big pile that he just cuts up right in front of you and sautees it in a version of there garli butter same either prawns then served with potato salad or rice and there special sauce“
“I ordered the food and took around 10-15min. Very helpful. However because it is a Korean couple running it, they make everything fresh! I got the bulgolgi sandwich which was very tasty! I would definitely go back! It was around 14 dollars.“

“Their portions are worth more than 5.00. Food and smoothies are delicious. Their dole pineapple whip is better than Dole Plantation. The staff at Ward/Kewalo basin are friendly and professional.“

“The bowls were delicious! 10/10 l. The location sucks but I guess it's not too bad for in the city. It's more designed for hotel guests which we weren't. Take your bowls a block to the beach!
I did not try the poke so I can't comment on that.“

“Excellent food! Tried the Korean, Spicy Garlic and fried chicken bowl. Just make sure you ask if there are peanuts in the sauce if allergic.“

“Ah what a gem. Just randomly found this place on my way back to Waikiki.
I got the Hawaiian plate. The Lau Lau was so tender and flavorful. It’s probably one of the best ones I’ve had.
The saimin was also perfectly flavorful and comforting.
I want to go back try other dishes now!
It’s a small place but there are about 2-3 tables that you can also sit and eat. It’s cash only.“
“Discovered this AMAZING place about two years ago when I worked at the DCCA building and visit just about every week if not every other week.Love love love the garlic steak plate and I have gotten the spicy chicken poppers a couple times and have never, ever been disappointed. From the portions to the price, it’s perfect.now that I work off Ala Moana, I still make the trip to Alakea Steak, even if I have to walk because it is just that good to me. Definitely worth a try.“

“New owners now. Still great service. Ono fried chicken, cone sushi. But, shucks, the white chow fun has changed. I think they cook it differently and maybe using a different chow fun noodle. Used to be the only place I could get the white chow fun. ?“

“Firstly, I want to say the food was DELICIOUS. My husband and I both loved everything we ordered - birria baos, birria tacos, s’mores aloha puffy, and original banana pudding. The only issue we had was with finding the place. When looking Aloha Mamacita up on Apple Maps, we were taken to Nimitz Center - a 10 minute drive with traffic from Waterfront Plaza (the correct location). Thankfully, we took the drive and enjoyed amazing food!!
The carry out window is located in Building 4 of Waterfront Plaza next to the stairs leading to the parking garage, as well as the elevators and security office. Please see the photos for a better idea. I hope this helps!“

“The line was always long, so I just kept coming and going, and went in before the fireworks show, and the shaved ice was delicious. It took a while after ordering, but as soon as I received it, the fireworks started.Instead, I upload a video of fireworks. All my shaved ice melted while watching fireworks.“

“Local plate lunch place. Have tried the kalua pork, pork adobo, and pork squash (squash was a special, not a regular item), was all great, and cheap too.Entrance to the place is inconspicuously tucked into the corner. They have some tables and chairs setup outside, but as an alternative, just down the road is Hunananiho campsite and Waimanalo Beach, nicer to go eat there.“
