Merriman's Big Island provides an exceptional dining experience with fresh, local ingredients and carefully prepared dishes. The quality is better than ever, with newer items on the menu excelling, and the classics continuing to be just that. Guests can combine two entrees with the "Duo" selection, featuring highlights such as mushroom soup and fresh catch. The food quality and unique preparations are phenomenal. The atmosphere is lovely, classy but not fussy. The service is super friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and subtly attentive, accommodating food allergies and kids' needs. Katie was outstanding, so welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent. This is the best restaurant on the Big Island. Any nightly special is a must try. For lunch, the Hillbilly cornbread was great, and the Kalua pork sandwich was delicious. The catch of the day was prepared well and the ahi tuna fish tacos were also tasty. The Mai Tai with lilikoi foam and the Kalua pork sandwich were excellent. Merriman's continues to demonstrate why they're such a popular restaurant option.
