Experience the Mauna Kea Lū‘au for a great, entertaining, and educational time. The food is fantastic, with lots of variety and everything delicious, including the traditional pig roast from a sand pit that guests can witness being dug and unwrapped. The performers are awe-inspiring, sharing genuine stories through dance and music, creating a Hawaiian-themed mini-Vegas show. The beautiful setting offers a stunning oceanfront view as the sun sets. Premium seating is recommended, though some note it results in just light spots. The venue is small and beautiful, featuring only two rows of tables with around 100 people, ensuring good views of the stage. It is very kid-friendly, with opportunities for children to join in the fun and learn the hula dance. The staff is attentive and accommodating, providing warm greetings and even offering complimentary drinks for special occasions. Valet parking is available. One minor critique—drinks are not included even with premium tickets, and 'complimentary' photos require purchasing. After the Lū‘au, guests can visit the manta ray point on their way back to the lobby, where a light attracts manta rays feeding on krill, creating a memorable sight. Overall, the Mauna Kea Lū‘au is highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic night with family, truly a night to remember.
