Lindsey, our waitress was awesome. We ordered the ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, and onion rings. Wow. The meat fell off the bone, the beans were the best I've ever had. Loved the spicy bbq sauce and the raspberry habenero was fantastic. If you ever pass through Altoona, Iowa, this is a must stop.
Great BBQ joint... This particular location also has smoked steaks and prime rib. I had the prime rib, which was a good portion, tender and cooked perfectly! My issue was with the au jus it was sitting in. For my taste, au jus with prime rib should be beefy tasting and a little smokey. This was like maybe they added a little BBQ sauce or something that made it sweet. Others may enjoy it but it's not for me. The mac n cheese and baked beans were very good!
