I am from Colorado and I first visited Jethro’s on Drake University campus back in 2006. My son was attending college there, and we just had to try Jethro’s BBQ. We have been hooked on it since… This place not only creates amazing BBQ, but they also are very customer focused. I recently visited my brother-in-law in Osage, IA and had the privilege of interfacing with multiple AMAZING customer focused Jethro Employees. The first was Fernando Lara. I developed a paprika allergy within the last two years, and so I contacted Fernando who took the time to research their entire menu to alert me ahead of my visit of the items that contain paprika. The second contact was actually our outstanding server, Tara, at their Ankeny, IA location. Tara took care of my entire crew (there were 8 of us…). We had a good experience and thought the family platter was a good value.

We even brought some bear bbq sauce home.

I order pickup brisket platter. The staff was great and I got the food quick. Brisket not bad but definitely not the best. Quantity it was good amount in the plate alot of meat.

Service was amazing! Food was just as good. Our waitress was on top of drinks and food and checking on us and we were a big party of 10. Everything was great!!

My favorite is the garlic pharm boneless wings. The portions are very large here and always bring home leftovers.

Ended up getting the wings was buy 10 get 10 free.place looks like an awesome place to hang out n have some drinks .if 8n a semi park next to the gas station like i did or park across the street .Will definitely be stopping here again when rolling through.

Dinner was delicious and fast service. There's plenty of food to share.

Bartender extremely rude. She was so rude I witnessed her the other night when I was there making fun of a young lady who had an apparent brain injury. She had stuck her finger in the lady's face telling her she was drunk. When the lady only had 1 drink and the mother of this lady was calmly trying to explain to the rude bartender that her daughter had a severe brain injury. I go to this place all the time and after this incident won't be going back until they fire that rude bartender. Also alot of my friends go there as well and none of will return until that lady is fired. To top it all of the when the 2 lady's that were treated so rude the bartender smiles at them ad they were leaving and very rudely says bye bye. I mean how rude and disrespectful can one be. This lady needs fired and I mean immediately or you are going to lose alot of your regular customers for good. I've seen alot rude things at restaurants but this has to right at the top of the list. How cold for 2 people that have already been through alot with the daughters brain injury to be so disrespectful and rude. All I got to say if she isn't fired then u telling your customers u don't care about how people are treating in your establishment. So I pray u do the right thing and make the place a good atmosphere again by firing that rude lady. If not then u will lose alot of your regular paying customers.
