A friend and I came here months ago on our way home from Des Moines. The food was amazing! Good portions and the menu seemed to have went on for days. Great selections! Could be a bit more culturally welcoming.

BOGO wings on Tuesdays sounds like a great deal. What they don’t tell you is there are no size options. You have to buy the normal order of 10 wings which is $18 and you get 20. Which maybe that’s a decent deal per wing but I’m just ordering for myself. I don’t need 20 wings in one sitting. Why can’t I buy 5 and get 5 free for $9? Most other places give you increments of 5 on their wing deals.

Stupid.

I ordered a 2 meat plate with burnt ends that didn't taste right, I actually was wondering if it was really beef and the sausage was just split and fried 🤷🏽‍♂️ but my sides were really good I had the potatoe salad and those big ol jumbo onion rings 👍🏽

We only rate and review food only. Doing Covid I was considered to be essential personnel, so I remember the dark days of the restaurant business. I am truely thankful for being able to enter the building...thank you.
I ordered the Rib Taster with Jalapeño/Cheese Sausage and the Smoked Baked Beans.
I should have known a white-owned restaurant, a black girl hostess, and a Mexican chef in the middle of Iowa...what could go wrong?
I will tell you, bland, flavorless, tasteless food. It may smell like BBQ wood burning upon arrival, but that is about it. They are definitely not BBQ'N with it, because wood smoke soak through the meat and straight to the bone. This is definitely a slow smoker with pellets or oven baked!
The Jalapeño/Cheese Sausage was missing two main ingredients...jalapeño and cheese🤣. Other than that it was perfect.
And finally, I've saved the best for last. The Smoke Baked Beans where a disaster waiting to happen. You can not combine Black, Kidney, and Pork and Beans, celery and onions and call it what you call it. They look like they fell out of a horse and onto my plate. You talking about farm to table🤣!
It is not beneficial to the consumer spending $30 buck for such small portions and it taste even worst!

Over all AWESOME! Our server (Casey) was on point, pleasant, quick and professional. The food was great. I grew up a fan of fried pork tenderloin, especially one made in Iowa, and Jethro's did not disappoint. Highly recommend just based on the tenderloin and the onion rings (which were ginormous!). The quality of the sandwich made me feel like I was a kid visiting my grandparents again. Way to go Jethro's you nailed it.

Very disappointing lesson learned. It has been awhile decided to come back and order the guy in the driveway e thru was nice alway love that .. I checked my food before leaving it was wrong went in the lady at the door right away seen I had my bag in my hand and seem irritated but its fine I always get the same thing except I ordered and extra side of brunt ends .. and I get a side dry rub sauce . I am trying to find how to post a Pic because I asked her about my extra side she told by looking at it in there I paid 27.00 and some change for a kids plate because this was not a 2 meat combo at all .. and I was trying to explain to her even about the sauce she kept telling me I was wrong I told her I have a Pic of it the last time to show her but no I was wrong . I just felt shut down and who cares .. I litterly just gave away money I gave the plate to homeless man at the gas station .. disrespectful. I know I am just one person but dang I thought better for customer service or maybe because I am ... well never mind I get it and felt it . I wont bother this establishment in altoona again
