Took my sister here for a birthday lunch and it was just perfect! It’s cozy without being claustrophobic. The pastries felt like such a nice luxury to enjoy right in the middle of Des Moines. Definitely recommend stopping by whether you’re a resident of the city or passing through.
I tried two different types of beignets and a strawberry croissant. One of the beignets had a licorice-flavored filling, which is usually not my cup of tea. I still couldn't put it down! Everything was so great I will definitely be back!
The croissants and cinnamon roll were delightful, but the filled beignets were the showstopper. The only way I could be any happier would be if they also made macarons. We enjoyed our food very much and will be back!
