Perkins American Food Co.

We were eating at Perkins across from some rude ladies who got very impatient with the only server working. She was doing a great job and keeping up and making her tables happy. The ladies proceed to yell across the dinning room about boxes that they asked for but the server stayed calm and was polite. Apparently, they couldn't wait a few minutes for the server to come back after she told them she'd be right back with boxes. They got up and went to pay and the rant wasn't over. The yelled at the manager who was there about not helping his employees but he was most definitely helping and they again were not very nice. I am writing to say they all did a good job for what they had to deal with. Some people can be very rude and impatient. When I left I asked all their names. I appreciate Cian, Kevin, misty, maddi, and Josh for the handwork. It is a thankless job, so thank you very much. We have never had a problem at Perkins.

Burned hashbrowns, and an absent server.....busy yes. But our food was cold which means it was sitting for sometime before it got served... absent server. I was never not a single time offered a refill, absent server.

The Altoona location has been our favorite and this is the first time I felt the need to express my disappointment. I had the chicken fried steak and my wife the sausage biscuits and gravy. I chose the chicken fried steak over the sirloin because I wanted the gravy for my meal. There was a small spoonful of gravy on my steak, not even enough to spread across the steak with a knife and it was not even real sausage gravy ( had better out of a can). But then I looked at my wife’s biscuits and gravy and it was the same. What’s biscuits and GRAVY all about! With all the new gourmet breakfast places opening in the area it’s not a good time to cut back/cut corners. We noticed!
