The food was mediocre for a mexican restaurant. It is a place for something quick to get food. The people that work here are nice and pleasant which made the experience better overall.

TLDR, might have just been an off day but this was by far the worst service I've ever received in my life. The food wasn't the best but honestly if the server hadn't been soo clearly and rudely avoiding us, one of two total tables being served at the time, I could have overlooked the food, I've been here before with my family and very much enjoyed it but this was terrible I will NEVER eat here again.

I'm from Texas and miss good Tex-Mex. Some friends took me here, and now it is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ames. Great chips and salsa, cheap margaritas, good food, fast service, friendly staff. Give it a try!

Margarita had orange juice which was interesting twist but tasted great. Had nachos and seafood quesadilla which were flavorful and delicious - just need to drain ground beef a bit. Much better than el azteca.

Haven’t been here in quite a while. We had the Tacos Al Pastor and the Chicken Fajitas. Both were AMAZING. Will absolutely return sooner than later!

I ordered 2 Burrito Locos, 1 Burrito Deluxe, and 1 Burritos Mexicanos for myself and a few friends. Instead what I got was a single taco, a side of rice and beans, lettuce and tomatoes, and some chips and salsa. They took my money and offered a refund but I’m unsure I’ll even get that. We were robbed and there wasn’t much help after. Went hungry and I’d rate 0 stars, but my delivery driver seemed nice enough to want to help fix it. 1/5, but 0/10 stars. You’d get better service at a Taco Bell. ???????

Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Ames, the margaritas are strong but tasty, the food is amazing. I got the shrimp quesadilla which was huge and packed with around 12 huge shrimp. It was awesome, my boyfriend got the Chile verde which here, is a whole piece of pork that I think they slow cook in the sauce. It was also awesome, tender and soaked up a ton of flavor from the sauce and it wasn't too fatty either. The prices are awesome for what you get.

Nice place for a quick lunch. Staff was attentive, friendly and prompt. Food was fast and hot to the table. Chips and salsa were excellent!

Excellent food great staff. Margaritas in peach is really good. You can order a pitcher or smaller. Not too pricey. I highly recommend this place.

Ordered online for pickup. Went into the restaurant and the place looked very nice, the employees were very friendly and inviting. The food was VERY good and still warm even though we ordered it for pick up and it was ready when we got there.

Very nice dining experience. Waiter was very prompt and through in some authenticity in his words. Food was great and alot of it. I had the Rosa ...seasoned chicken breast and shrimp with onions peppers rice and choice of corn or flour tortilla. Margarita drink special.
