My husband used to frequent Pammel Deli when he was a college student at ISU about 20 years ago. We were traveling through Ames and he decided he was craving a gyro. I hope heaven has an international or ethnic-specific grocery store. Pammel Deli is one of my happy places. The food is great and well-priced. The owners are lovely people. The vibes are on point. I keep coming back for the samosas and chai. EDIT: Try the kunafa, it’s delicious.
