Enjoy the sushi, the great lunch choices differing each day, the soups and chowders, the freshness of all the seafood selections!
Our Food was INCREDIBLE! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The price was fantastic! We will definitely be back! This was our first time here. The staff was welcoming as soon as you walked in, our waitress was helpful and we got thanked by the staff as we were leaving. Great atmosphere to be in!!
We often eat there when we're in Ankeny, and did so last Sunday. The fish and chips was, as it always is, outstanding. Our waitress, Jordan, was equally outstanding. She took care of our lunch time needs, often anticipating what we were wanting next. She even sent my wife home with a cup of the pop she was drinking. Simply outstanding and is our favorite restaurant when we're in Des Moines area.

Waterfront Seafood Market Restaurant Ankeny offers a pleasant atmosphere facing a pond. The oysters are good, and the house special Clam soup and crab cakes are flavorful and made from scratch. The Alaska style salmon and mussels are highly recommended, with the mussels being a standout dish. The catfish and birthday meals are top-notch. The restaurant also features dishes like the Oscar Haddock, tilapia, and seafood platter, which are well-liked by customers. Service is attentive and friendly, with staff often accommodating special requests such as surf and turf or sushi platters. Customers praise the friendly staff, excellent food, and relaxing environment. The seafood options, including lobster tail, Rick shrimp, and fried shrimp, are enjoyed, though some items like fried shrimp may be less memorable. The restaurant often has a fryer oil smell due to a low ceiling, but overall, it remains a favorite spot for fresh seafood and a pleasant dining experience. Reservations are recommended for a great experience with no rush to leave.
