Based on the reviews, Plaza Azteca is an incredible find. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with bright colors and very decorative chairs, tables, and benches. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The service is amazing, with staff and the family who owns the Plaza treating customers like gold. Meals start with chips, salsa, and a fantastic cabbage pico that is full of flavor. The food is always hot, fresh, and authentic with great portion sizes. Many dishes are mentioned, including the ChorizoPollo, Chori Pollo, and Pollo Azteca, which have so much flavor that customers said "WOW" on the first bite. The Azada Burrito was excellent, and the Pollo en Mole is described as a bit of Heaven. The beans and rice are exceptional, with awesome tenderness and spices. For dessert, the flan is creamy and carmelly. This is considered some of the best food experienced, and the best dining in Atlantic, Iowa. It is worth the time for anyone traveling on the 80.
