“The small town of Barnes City, Iowa is fortunate to have the continuance of both the Tavern and a restaurant. The bartenders are customer service oriented. Especially, during busy times and big events. It’s worth a stop if you are in the area. You can’t beat the food, prices or cold drinks.”

“I was pleasantly surprised when my boyfriend and I stopped by Monte Tap for a casual dinner. The onion rings and fries were clearly hand-cut and freshly made. The burgers were flavorful, and the buns were perfectly toasted (seriously, who still takes the time to do that?). Our server was friendly and checked in often. Definitely planning to come back!”
